I'd say the same about Deadgye, but nametags are turned off on 1378 so you all need to identify yourself if I'm not mistaken. I need to go about finding out how to make the in-game communication work.

To type in text its / however I think it's disabled. In game talk is defaulted to caps lock

When I was trying to use the in-game voice chat before my friends next to me couldn't hear me. I didn't spend any time trying to troubleshoot it though.

Gotta tab through the options, it should be set to direct chat. I think the default is global.

I had it on direct communication for typing chat while trying, assuming that's the same thing.

edit: Did some research.. it looks like I might have to change my bindings. And that the aforementioned is not the same thing.

Tag is Locuro in-game. Locuro83 for Skype, which I'll log into whenever I'm playing on 1378.

I logged into 1378, and within 2 minutes I got that message about no information(or something like that) being received for xx seconds, only happens to me on 1378 too.

edit-Does that mean the server is down? doesn't look like it's up in dayz commander.

I thought 2059 just reset so I was heading to find a bike, after I got halfway to a spawn point I got a "You were kicked from the game" error, and I've been getting it either instantly or after 15-30 seconds of movement whenever I try to rejoin. I haven't tried joining any other servers yet.

Is that the same error you were both getting?

Ah, with the little red chain and everything? That sounds like the server went down, as that's what happened to me when it went down yesterday.

Also, found myself an m203 fufufu. I haz 3xclips, 2xSDclips, and a flash+smoke grenade for it. If the moon didn't mysteriously disappear from 1378 I'd probably go have some fun killing zombies. I must learn how to use the grenade launcher again.. I'm so rusty. I should channel my olde Americas Army Bridge skillz.

Can anyone with access to a boat or helicopter come save my self and a couple friends, some twat admin restarted a server while we were fixing a helicopter on an island and our boat vanished so now we're stuck.

Found a clans helicopter and flew it over NWAF, within 2 minutes the server restarted. Happens all the time... they seem to think they are entitled to it.

That makes me want to ask, were you in the air when they restarted the server? Cuz I know vehicles go back to where they were saved. Would you be logged out in the middle of the air?

DayZ lead wants game on consoles, 'having meetings' about it at Gamescom

DayZ project lead Dean Hall "really hopes" the game is successful enough to justify a console version. Speaking to us today at Gamescom, the developer, who has been thrust into the spotlight thanks to the incredibly successful Arma2 mod, told us the only stumbling block is DayZ needs to be successful enough to justify a console version.

"You're not going to put it on the consoles if you're only going to sell 100,000 units or something like that," he said. "DayZ will be driven by its PC development and it will innovative on that. And, once we're at a point, we'll take it and do a Mac version, 360 and PS3."

Asked if he's met with any of the console developers, he immediately chimed back, "We're meeting with them here."

DayZ's publisher, Bohemia Interactive, does have a console background, and Hall has been a producer on console games in the past and knows "the pitfalls and horror that's involved with it."

I finally getting myself enough tools to become self sufficient in the forest.. and even got myself a gps and some other shit. And then a 2 inch drop in the forest near a rock broke both my bones and I died, for no raison.

No, we were about to take off and the server dropped, our boat, our van, and our chopper were all gone. We even saved them prior to it going down, the van + chopper, the boat we couldn't get the option to.

Omg, something similar happened to me the other day as well. I went into one of the bigger cities (still new to the game, so I don't know which), and I was able to find 3 cans of food, 2 water bottles, 2-3 sodas, a makarov with 5-6 clips, an ALICE pack, 4-5 bandages, multiple painkillers, etc. It was the most decked out that I have been since I started playing the game without a doubt. I was at perfect health, crwling out of this building I just looted, and as I crawled past this metal pole, both my legs broke.

I crawled to a tower and started firing pistol shots in the air while typing in the chat that someone should come loot my body after I inevitably died, but nobody came. I eventually got bored, and crawled down from the tower with 2k blood left and 2 broken legs, and proceeded to use the rest of my ammo killing zombies before I died. I would have been just fine for days had my legs not randomly decided to break while I was crawling around.
