Just had an epic moment in this game.

I was rolling with a random group of two when the three of us came into a factory in town. They went upstairs and I swept down. I went into a room and saw a guy with a hatchet standing over a dead body. I had my gun out and told him to freeze where he was or id shoot, and I yelled for my group to come down. I kept yelling at the suspect if he was friendly and he kept shaking his player side to side, trying to say no I guess. We held him at gun point and robbed him of his supplies and weapons, and when we were done started discussing what to do with him. We were gonna break his legs and run away, since zombies were around us, but we decided to let him run away to give him a chance. As he was running, we said to ourselves he probably killed the poor bastard on the ground, so we changed our mind and our rifleman zoomed in and popped one in his head.

The whole thing played out like a fucking walking dead episode, at the end of it I decided this mod was worth the 24 bucks I payed for arma 2 lmao.

My only gripe is if you have a weapon that is considered a "primary" weapon, you can't use any of your melee weapons with out dropping it. That's a big fuck up imo in a game where firing something like your shotgun will attract all the zombies around you when all you wanna do is take your axe out and chop a head off. I can't do that with out dropping my shotgun, which is obviously not something I want to do in a game where shit like this isn't easy to come by.

Getting back into this... actually figured what/how to do stuff now... but my servers keep getting hit my hackers. First time me and my gf raided a supermarket and got 20 slot backpacks/filled them with food/water/ammo then 2 people showed up blazing gunfire to get past zombies and killed us. np we started over and got equipped again. Only this time I had a scoped rifle, blood, food, water, map, compass, etc and then everyone on the server died at the same time...

I can say I'm having a lot more fun than I did at the beginning, I think the new patch helped with load times which is nice. Just a little sad about the hackers.

I get the "You cannot play/edit this mission, it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.dayz_code, dayz_weapons, dayz_equip etc.'upon joining any DayZ server", yet I checked my file and all the proper Day Z files are in there. I keep hearing something about entering something into "launch options", but I have no idea what that means.

I had that problem. There are so many servers using so many different things, manually doing the updates is just a pain. Go find something called Six Launcer, it'll auto update the game for you, and you can browse servers through it as well. Just click, and launch. Made the game far easier for me to get into.

So I'm in a tent trying to get supplies when a dude with a silenced pistol walks in, so I lay down cause I'm unarmed thinking that will show I don't have anything. He then proceeds to type at me in chat "hi" "WTF ARE YOU DOING" "HAHA get up". Continue to get supplies, find a motorcycle, drive around for 30 seconds then get sniped.

When I try to join a server through SixLauncher, I get Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CAMisc_fix'. I'm not sure what I've fucked up.

What server do ya'll play on? I really need to team up with people.

I had so many awesome items, a czech backpack, like 3 morphine injectors, m1911 with like 5 mags of ammo, crossbow with 3 bolts for stealth kills, so much soda and canned food, blood bags, etc. I'm hiding through this town looking for matches and see these two guys, one of them on the ground. They don't see me yet cause it's dark, so I pull out the m1911 and position myself to kill them. I ask them what they're doing, and the guy says his friend is dying; so I run over to give him a morphine shot and blood bag, and he turns around and guns me down. So fucking pissed right now, any one who isn't on team salodin is fucking dead from now on. GFDI.

Had that for a few minutes on one server. Tried a different one and never had the problem again.

Dude, I am death incarnate now. Some guy was running through the military base with a hatchet, and I see him from across the field cause he's got a train of Z on him. So I approach from the control tower and sweep through looking for him. I ended up getting aggro and have to pop a shot off, which he hears. I come to the last hanger and see him hiding in the corner with his hatchet ready. I aim at him and he just stares at me for a good 5 seconds, both of us saying nothing. Suddenly he just makes a mad dash for me with his hatchet and I'm like "Asta la vista baby" and put 3 in his chest.

I'm a fucking cold hearted bitch now. This game has changed me.

I'm using six launcher but its not working either. No worries. I'll figure it out eventually.
