Desperate! Can not log in to FFXI

hmm on post 2 he was telling me Cox blocked ffxi. Have no idea what that means which is why I asked for more info. Anyway. My internet says they are getting my signal just fine. For some reason he still thinks it has something to do with my end of things of course. I am looking at the vpn idea.

Cox is an ISP. They blocked the ports/protocols that FFXI uses but everything else on the internet worked just fine.

That is probably what's going on here. Your ISP has blocked certain ports/protocols that FFXI uses.

I hope that is all it is. Talked to the ips people, in person, today. They were going to work on it today but I am still not up. They have a small operation and they had to call the only guy who knew how to fix it. Fortunately I printed off the ports SE needs, for them, so crossing my fingers.
