Expansion. That's why spring/fall/summer are actually just Road Construction in the colder states. The summers are still hot enough to cause the roadways to expand a bit, but our winters are so cold it contracts like crazy. During the winters, water gets in the cracks during the day, and freezes at night, pushing the road chunks apart.

If it gets hot enough, the road expands past the point where it can actually stay on the ground. Shits crazy.

The Midwest is seeing some relief, at least until this Sunday. I'm enjoying it, but like the freak that I am, adjusting to the 100+ weather without AC was possible.

wtf, usually when my power goes out i get compensated due to loss of service, not fucking charged, thats service I'm paying for you're not providing. Fuck your loss of income, i pay you to use and MAINTAIN a working electrical network.

Who is outside at Vegas anyways. And even if you are casino hopping you can have a nice frosty alcoholic beverage in your hand to sip on to keep you cool as you walk across the street. Though I am loving the 30 degree difference between yesterday afternoon (98 and today (68 in the bay area.
