So, I've been playing Geomancer and so far it's pretty cool. Skill chain with my goblin and burst the fuck out of it. Using attack bonus aura since all my dd trusts are melee atm. Is there a geo "how to" page or anything? Haven't spent too much time snooping around.

I haven't looked at the GEO one but most of the job guides on ffxiah are pretty good. I hear some are outdated but the RUN one which is new like GEO has been helpful for me

Peacekeepers and Mummers Coalitions have been ranked down for months now on Siren, you might be waiting a very long time for it to be rank 8 depending on your server's apathy levels. Or until SE changes the way Coalitions rank up, whichever comes first.

Can Balamor's Ruse be soloed? Seems to be a little harder than previous missions.

Technically, all Adoulin missions have been, without trusts even.

'course, that doesn't mean they can be done so easily. The next set of fights (Yggdrasil Beckons) are significantly harder.

Personally, I did them dual box (BLU/RUN, SCH/RDM), but I don't recall leaning on my alt heavily for that one. I did it by quickly AoE'ing down the helpers, and then just meleeing Balamor down. Most damage, as it is in the later fights as well, is magic based, so gearing/buffing to reduce that is effective. Flip side is that it'll probably wear out Trusts in melee range pretty quickly.

Yeah, i solod it as blu/run, i think. used brygid, two healers, i think sakura, subduction spamming the 3 dullahan till dead, then trying to stay alive on that freaking monster. That said, it took several tries simply because my damage output was < his damage output and i kept running out of steam. maintaining saline coat really helps though.

I was wondering about soloing the Skirmishes for some Taeon gear, as well as some of the other stuff that yields i119 gear.

I tried to solo a Rala Alluvion Skirmish (wanted the BLU sword) on a i113 BLU/WAR and killed the bats with ease, but I aggroed some Cracklaw NM and it totally annihilated my trust NPCs. Might have survived if I was more prepared for it and didn't have three mobs on me. Beyond that, no idea on how the Mistmaws are... Not sure the AA fights and such are worth attempting, because the good stuff probably only drops from the higher difficulties, which probably can't be soloed anyway... Escha NMs?

I currently have a i119 MNK, i118 THF, i114~116 BLU to try things with. Gear is decent on MNK and THF as of February or so, but nothing newer.

Alluvion Skirmish was posted about not too far back in this thread. It's quite doable. You can wind up with Mellidopt Wings in your personal loot, and those can be used to buy the weapons as well as the armor (three for a weapon).

Wings only drop off alluvion yorcia.

Soloing alluvion rala (with trusts) may prove difficult at i113 depending on NM, and the sword drops off the dvergr. He can be a pain since he can spam stun/sleep/silence/terror on you. Which NM spawns upon completing objectives is random though.

If you're confused about the craklaw you encountered, it's one of the "special" mobs that affects the zone. If you swap to eudaemon ring, it'll load a rabbit mob, but its a beneficial NPC sort of (it will only attack autochthons, not you). That way you only have to worry about completing the objectives given to you.

definitely soloable 1/1/1 Alluvion Rala as a 113~BST (sparks axe and a handful of 109 reforged af/relic/empy). Had to use Unleash on the mistmaw both times I tried it, but finished with about 3-5mins left the second time after almost running out of time the first due to not knowing what to expect.

I know it sounds funny but it might be better to use sparks armor too just for the extra ilvls even if it's not great in stats. The difference in strength of your trusts from 113 to 117 will be rather noticeable

I'm on Balamor's Ruse now also. Tried it yesterday once and I was fine but Arciela ate it just as I finished off the Dullahans. Need to think up a new strat for solo. Some stuff says you can position her away from Balamor so I'll have to try that later tonight.

For the dullahans, I did subduction, ca efflux whirl of rage, then ba thunderbolt, followed by more subduction spam and the occasional whirl. Kept them quiet for the most part, arciela was about 65% hp after they died.

Can you lose aggro, let arciela tank a bit while you resummon fresh trusts?
