Ok, so... between me and a couple others, we have a few PW pops. Let's just presume that not everyone is going to be 119 pimped out and all. I'm more curious just what the strategy is it and how to deal with it. I was told that it could be realistically be done with about 6 or so, but heard nothing more about how that would work and what sort of roles are needed.

The only hard part is the final form where astral flow rains down on you. Having a job who can zombie (twilight gear, BRD hymnus, whatever) makes it easier to recover and retry if your group can't eat all the magic damage. With that said, all earlier forms are easily burned down if you have a few competent melees (don't even need to be 119, he's level 99 content after all).

I think he will use astral flow once a min for 3 min so if you have someone actively holding like a PLD, he needs to drop party(?). I don't remember, but definitely want the zombie person to not be in party as everyone is raising for sure.

If everyone can survive his very first astral flow, then you can easily clinch a win by burning him down as well.

The final form is Astral flow at 75%, 50% and 25%, each lamp will become a Celestial Avatar and Astral Flow on a random party member so everyone bar some niche jobs have a high chance of dying, I've dual boxed this guy a few times Aegis PLD and WHM. My WHM mule died half the time, Aegis PLD never died as a result of AF but I got bad luck once with paralyze and AF etc etc. I ended up zombieing until a friend came and helped me clean up.

So basically yeah, with AF be prepared for a wipe, as such, having someone who can zombie it with you will be useful just in case it goes tits up.

My whm mule survived 3/4 times if I prepped with stoneskin and Sacrosanctity and phalanx. But brd mule died every single time.

Also being able to time your big dmg pushes help as it can make it so they flow less. With the huge delay of them flowing even a job like pld can push enough dmg so they only flow once per fight. 2 at most

Is it worth using Duskslit Stone +1s to augment Skirmish Weapons for +DMG, or is it really only likely to come from +2s? I haven't had any luck with it yet, and don't want to keep burning +1s if it's a pipedream to get the right augment from them.

NQ, +1, and +2 stones all have equal chances for all the different augments, the only thing +1 and +2 do is make the minimum augment value higher and a higher chance to get the max augment (though it's still extremely random, and you can still possibly get max with NQ, assuming you get the proper augment in the first place) So yeah, random is random, it's just a rare augment

Nqs also seem to have a higher chance of getting an augment that isn't associated with that type of stone while +2s it's extremely rare (maybe never?)

For the dullahans, I did subduction, ca efflux whirl of rage, then ba thunderbolt, followed by more subduction spam and the occasional whirl. Kept them quiet for the most part, arciela was about 65% hp after they died.

Yeah, I read subduction is good but when you have a set for it. Anything decent I can get with sparks and/or solo?

how lost would I be returning after 4 years? I don't think Adoulin was out yet? Neo Nyzul had been around less than a year and my Emp h2h were only 90 so I generally didn't get taken on runs

is stuff largely soloable?
are there helpful people or are the servers mostly ghost towns with no one around to team up with?

All story stuff(adoulin missions might not be as easy) is soloable with ilvl gear. Takes like a couple weeks to get current from scratch.

Doesn't really matter which you pick since they're only useful in Reives so just go with what you think you'll use the most. I personally forget I even have the neck when I actually do reives.

Doomsday (Alluvion Skirmish) With ideal augments would be your best bet if I'm not mistaken.


Also, I was doing Campaign on BST today, and I decided to try Scissorleg out, used Tegmina Buffet on a hoard of Yagudo Inciters and it did lik 23,000 damage and one shotted them all

I didn't thank I'd be that OP on BST. Shoot.
