Granted, I feel Sedna is one of the easier Empy NMs to pop, I guess part of me is still stuck in pre-Rhapsodies ways of thinking. On the other hand, looking forward, there's that part of me that thinks they're going to make HMPs and such easier to acquire, which would make it more advantageous to have the main weapon itself.
WoE items were something I'd looked into initially during freebie time, but adding everything up I was seeing in bazaars didn't paint a pretty a picture. Thus, the whole, "swimming in gil" jab. But hey, why not, let's confuse elitism for not enjoying un-fun things like some people are keen to.
Yawp. Sure is. If im not mistaken though doing it the NM path cuts down what you need to upgrade. I think if you get the -1 its 30 Coins, 100 Dice and 100 Residue where as if you went the NM path its only 15 coins, 30 dice, and 30 residue? So if you have the stomach for the NMs, that path aint so bad, But I think it starts to suck dong around the "VNM" stage.
Fuck that noise, I'll farm some dyna currency and dump the shit off for that then. Thanks a bunch
The 90 trial for Hvergelmir is Azdaja. While it's a much easier fight now and only 1 KI which you can actually get from gold boxes, solo farming and fighting 38-75 of them would take a lot longer than farming the gil to buy dice/residue or using log in points to supplement them. Especially since you're only using the staff to unlock a WS. I sincerely doubt they'll ever make HMP easier to obtain. People have asked for years to no avail. At best we'll get a Rapsodies KI that refreshes voidstones every 10 min to coincide with the dynamis/salvage/assault ones that make it possible to spam the content but not actually make it less effort.
For what its worth, My brother and I duo'd a fuckload of Isgebinds, probably close to 45~ to get his 85 Caladbolg to 90 and it wasn't as awful as I thought it would be, due in part to no one camping it like the old days, the KI Dragon was always up (and 10-15 minutes aint half bad)... I think it took about 3 days total (About ~4 hours each time), but it doesn't feel that bad, with Azdaja's item being obtained from a gold box it shouldn't be terribly difficult, since thats how we did a lot of Isgebinds as well.
Just gotta control your lights like the good old days, NO RUBY GUYS.
So yah, If you want to 90 it Its not as awful as it used to be, and it'll probably only take a couple nights if you have at least 1 friend to help.
Then again, blowing gil on a -1 will almost certainly be quicker as Hits suggested.
I went on PLD/THF and kept some Holy Water on hand. His endoom proc rate is pretty low with all the magic evasion you get these days from stat vomit.
Might depend on the job, but on PLD (probably all other jobs as well), you can pull it away to the cliff with the ??? for the quest, make it face the direction opposite of the cliff, then stand on its tail and just beat it to death. You can skip pulling it away if you don't mind the skeletons, though; however, safety should come first.
Aside from that, just make sure to stun Dispelga and have Holy Waters ready in case you get hit with Doom or Curse. Depending on how much damage its spells deal to you, you might want to have some self-heal ready, too.
Am I reading this right? Have to do all the Voidwatch paths before unlocking weaponskills through WoE?
The three cities path need to be cleared, nothing else.
Draylo, teach me your blue mage ways. I just unlocked it yesterday.
No on trusts in abyss, can't use in dyna either. I'm assuming the same goes for limbus?
Correct (unless that was changed last patch, haven't gone in since)
