Ah, ok. I just wasn't sure if the new end game content applied to those neck pieces. If it's just for WKRs and smashing rocks and roots then I'll probably go with Auto Reraise. People are dicks about Raising and that's annoying. Thanks for the help.

If you mostly do non wkr reives the RR is less important since you shouldn't die. Arciela's Grace +1 is kind of ridiculous for mages.... basically any job can aoe nuke reives with that on
Can you swap neck pieces? I mostly do WKR right now but I dont know if that will change in the future based on what I find easiest, etc.
If you've got the NQ, you give it back as part of the missions, and can pick a different +1 when you get it back a little later. If you've already got the +1, then I don't think they've yet put in a way to reacquire or swap them.
Yeah kinda wish I picked arciela grace but I went with the RR one.
So I haven't bothered exping (intentionally) since coming back and I want some capacity points. It seems like joining a party with someone drastically drops the cap points you get so.. what is the most effective way to do this? So far someone recommended doing easy mobs in Ceizak but that's painfully boring. The job I'm looking to exp on is SMN so even if regular parties were a thing, it's never been a good exp job.
Also: Friend is telling me that all my JP I put into "SMN BP Damage" is now completely worthless. D: Is this true?
Defeating each WKR opens up a sort of basement of the corresponding zone (though technically it's a teleport to a "gates" zone). In these areas the penalty to CP for grouping is reduced significantly, and they also give a much higher ratio of CP to XP. An easy place to solo/duo to get started is in Morimar Basalt Fields; take bivouac #5 and head north to the central outcropping of the map, there'll be a teleporter there that takes you where you want to go. Raptors and efts are reasonably easy once you're at/around i119, though I've only done it on melee.
If you're a bit more lightly geared, Marjami bivouac #3 has bunnies and flytraps south around the corner after going down the rope. They're easy and very densely populated, you make up for lowish CP/mob by having tons to kill. This is prob 3x faster than rando mobs in Ceizak, but lacks the bonus CP of the basement zones.
Incidentally the bunny camp is great for PLing as well. Seekers xp is strange in that you can get decent xp from kills even if you're 60-70 levels lower than the char doing the killing, so a geared character can really push powerleveling xp hard with that density.
Also most people will say just wait for double xp campaign, because it is a world of difference obviously.
Not in Woh, Moh, and Doh gates; the CP penalties for grouping are much lower in there.
Seems to be the case in Escha too. If you're soloing on SMN it will be pretty slow in gates zones, but you can kill things like umbril with ifrit pretty easily. Otherwise any adoulin zone is good for solo grinding with trusts. It's pretty awful right now without the campaign even with all the bonuses and rings. Ceizak has the lowest level mobs and Kahmir has the highest for non-gates zones in adoulin. And mob level will greatly effect the CAP you get, even more so than exp.
As for SMN BP job points, no they work properly now. One update fixed the JP but then broke gear that increased avatar levels and that was finally fixed last update. So it's "all good" now.
Outer and Inner Rakaznar have higher level mobs than Kamihr (114-116, 118 for the former and 121-123, 125 for the latter, I believe)
Raka also has nice big groups by families to take advantage of various weaknesses depending on what you want to do
If you can get into a Vagary CP party (Brash Gate) especially with a group you know then SMN not too bad in there with Ramuh, shock squall, then thunderspark the mobs helps with dmg (when BP timers down you can help cure), and gives healer a few seconds of the stun to get cures caught up. It might be hard to get into Vagary cp party though on smn if you do not know the people (pug group) because SMN tends to be over looked in those type of parties. Hastega II, and other smn buffs are good for in there though, and that is how I been getting my job points on SMN. Going into there when the ROE experience quest is up gets you lots of job points, sparks, etc as well. If you do this bring cp mantle, and do not forget rings.
So, I'm just curious as to most people's routine when they log on at this point or what their current goals are.
Obviously, most things are low man to solo, but I'm having difficulty deciding the things that I want to accomplish for whatever reason. Maybe I'm lacking patience for wanting to do things by myself, (for example, I need 2900940928384302384323 job points, starting with RDM.)
So, what are your motivations? I think I just need someone else's perspective.
So are the Pupil's Trousers on a female the skirt? Or is it actually pants?
My issue is, since coming back, pretty much no one I know still players. Kinda makes some stuff difficult. I'm also not the type of person that enjoys interacting with people I don't know, generally.
As long as I get something done every day, it's fine.
I like to gear different jobs (either myself or mule) and use them in random stuff just for fun. Most people I see getting bored only gear up one or two jobs, but if you try to gear up a lot of them (not super specialized with 5 different skirmish sets) then you have more things to try and get stuff from like High tier fights. As for job points I don't even bother with those unless its a double campaign tbh.
The job points/gift system kills my drive to play more than a couple jobs nowadays. Obviously you can play without them, but the difference between a job with 0jp and 550jp is pretty massive, especially for classes like blu, bst, or sch.
I wouldn't say massive, it helps a lot for sure but you can still complete all the content w/o them. I guess you would feel slightly gimp but you can still play a different job and do content differently instead of being stuck on one.
I can totally see why because frankly some people are jerks, and they made it hard to want to deal with people in general. I deal with a great deal of jerks on FFXI but I try to not let that stop me because I know there is good people who are nice and friendly on ffxi, and I try to not let the people that are jerks stop me from enjoying the game. I know sometimes it is hard to get past the wanting to socialize with others but do not let the jerks get in the way of you having a good time. I ignore a lot of people on ffxi (being a girl on ffxi I get jerks and perves after me, which makes it hard to enjoy playing but I also have tons of friends who got my back, and they keep me going). Just have to find the good people and ignore the ones that do not deserve your time.
