Don't see why not. Especially now with displacers being so cheap you can use 5/5 if you need and /fume every 30 seconds

Really depends if you EXP/CP for long periods, or just 1-2hrs a day. I'd go with Trizek though, it seems like +3 free JPs will outweight what kupofried can bring, unless you EXP for long periods.

Really depends on job and what trusts and gear you have available. If you have any fast dmg or really just the ability to cap gear/magic haste probably only need 1. 2 could definitely kill it without him being able to do jack. If one I'd maybe try to time it for his HF

2 was all I needed as a melee WHM with 75 gear and starter trusts. So that should be enough for anyone.

That said, the items to craft the tails are only 10 points each in the login campaign. Wouldn't hurt to over-prepare.

Not exactly a new/returning thing, but, I've got an issue where enemy bard songs are causing my client to crash.
It happened during the previous free week with the Sahagin BCNM, and just now in Dynamis when I got a BRD add link going after a TE statue. It doesn't seem to happen with BRD mobs in the general world though.
I've run the repair files in POL several times, both then and now, but it doesn't seem to have done the trick.

Any chance I can avoid a full reinstall, esp. since my installation was pretty fresh to begin with (about a year old)?

I've read that you had to wait until Japanese midnight to unlock the quest/upgrade your puppet. Is that still the case for these quests? Waiting several days get all the puppet parts kinda sucks with how fast you level.

Trizek will work even when you don't want Kupofried floating around behind you (or can't), so I'd go with that.

Have you tried vanilla without windower/ashita? If it still crashes, I'd start looking at vid card driver compatibility issues. I guess sound could also be a thing.

I've been getting a totally random hard crash from time to time, myself, where the closest common denominator is a lot of effects going off at once (even with them filtered). Could be related since I could see enemy bard songs hitting a few mobs alongside your own attacks/effects.

I am using vanilla. I spent a decade playing XI on PS2, vanilla is what I'm used to, and I've got no desire to change.

If you're using SE's windower then it's a performance turd. Try one of the unofficial with minimal plug-ins if you're worried about banhammering.

Yeah pretty much waited for a bit more login points to get 3 tails. Took a while but killed him easily as 95SAM w/ trusts.

Now to get to 99 and have no idea what else to do besides do all the missions n shit. I've never felt so lost coming back to the game in a looooooong time but hell I only log on when I feel like it considering I'm bouncing between this and 14. Going to take advantage of this double xp w/ this echad ring though, jesus this xp is crazy.

It's especially nuts if you combine it with the gain xp RoE objective. It's like, "For every three merits you get, we give you a fourth merit FREE!"

I haven't touched my DD mage jobs since I got back and I'm wondering if BLM or SCH is better for nukes these days. Seems kind of silly to do gearing/JP grinding for both so Im wondering which is more useful/invited more etc.

The only edge SCH has over BLM atm is, that they can self SC and MB which is a lot of dmg potential (specially if there's more people to MB), if you have/know other SCHs you do things with though, BLM wouldn't hurt.
