You're not going to use magian staves on anything of worth; 119 staves get ~230 magic accuracy just as part of ilvl, and some get even more as part of their stats.

It's sad to see a cool stat (magic potency) be dropped from the game completely. Hopefully (doubtful) they'll add some system to make them useful again. There isn't much end game content you will use them for. Also, much of the content for returning players is done somewhat efficiently spamming low tier ga spells until you really gotten a good fast cast/other sets going. So that base damage bump is non-trivial.
I'm glad they've incorporated boob physics.
Don't forget Pixie Hairpin +1, Archon Ring, and Weather. Ring. A lot of the ones in non weapon slots are still good just when you compare it to the massive boosts to magic dmg on weapons it's harder without some of those stats too. Even the new avatar weapons aren't great for those elements since no mab
It's like starting all over ;/
Yeah. I suppose I only meant it in the context of the magian weapons (and how much effort was put into obtaining them, only to have them become nearly useless.)
I miss you FFXI.
Back after a pretty long break I have no idea what I'm doing but I"m doing it !
Trust recommendations for form 2 Hades?
Just failed the first attempt with
Me: Mnk
Cheruki, Apururu, Amchuchu, Koru-Moru, Tenzen II (I usually use a brd, but they stand right on top of you, so figured ranged dmg would be nice at least)
Got him down to 22% before I died
I can only offer two suggestions on that.
1. I think Semih or Margret will do better ranged damage if you have those.
2. You can probably get people to do the fight with/for you if you /yell in Adoulin. Lots of folks jumped to help me recently because they wanted the bayld.
Also making sure to stay ilvl 119 helps. I'd think you'd have enough dmg so maybe get more support? I mean first time I killed it I was just tri boxing a naked brd + whm mule and pld no trusts so dmg shouldn't be too big an issue. iirc don't you have sam as well? That might help really bring it down fast
I left back in... June/July, I think? Right before Rhapsodies part 2. I have mostly i119 gear for most of my DD/pet jobs (everything pre-Escha), what would be the most efficient CP camp to grind to whatever the JP cap got to after I left? I had most of the CP boosts that were available at the time + a 48% Incursion backpiece.
Depends are you solo or in a group and what setups a bit. Generally solo fastest I think is bottom of " gate" zones and raka. In pt on the new apex mobs up top. Though you see a lot xping in escha ru'ann because it's still decent and you get other stuff like slit and lixirs.
As far as xp bonuses I think there are some ones that came out since then. At least all the mission RoEs end with cp bonus so should get that. Better cheers now.
Back, with a new character, and still within my first free month of playing. I'm unsure as to what to do next.
If anyone could provide some ideas on what to prioritize that'd be great!
Currently, I am:
- 119 GEO, full AF, working on relic
- Full Helios, Full Telchine; unaugmented
- Completed RoV, but not finished any other mission lines
- Closing in on capped merits
- Slowly doing colonization assignments for reduced WKR KI cost
- Solo'd almost all of the above-ground delve NM's for KI's and have been farming for delve items through beads
What should I be prioritizing?
Should I be grinding in Escha for silt and buying as many vorseals as possible? Grinding gil to buy augments for my Helios and Telchine?
Haven't been joining any shout groups because I don't think I have good enough gear yet or I don't have the vorseals to join Escha groups.
Since many of them require missions etc., maybe I should do those?
Thinking of starting work on a Tizona, HOWEVER...
I already have "Duties, Tasks, and Deeds" flagged from several years ago. I may have traded in a H2H weapon or something somewhere to make the quest think I'm working on a Glanzfaust, or whatever. What course of action should I take to ensure I'm not throwing away my Alexandrites/Ichor/Tokens? Can I somehow fuck myself over during the process?
I already have a Wightslayer, so I guess that's a start.
Only way to be sure is to cancel it and start over.
