So what's a good way to skill up besides pages and using Sakura? Leveling cor and I know my marksmanship will fall behind really quickly but I'm curious if there are any areas to just spam at for a while? I see skill up food but Slyph is bare bones dry w/ them
Ranged can be very easily skilled on reives, shooting the logs or whatever. You can usually stand far enough back that you won't aggro whatever mobs are popped along with them, and using low damage ammo each target will last a long while (they have no evasion, so hitrate isn't an issue, and you can cap on them). That way you can also get the skillup bonus from Ionis and stuff. Obviously, it's best to find ones that nobody else is killing.
Another option for skilling, though on that's often more suited to melee, is to go abuse the Uragnites in Ceizak or Yahse.
Been ignoring endgame stuff for a while now but been thinking of getting back into it. The last event I did "seriously" was Skirmish II (Yorcia) and I'm wondering how badly outdated my stuff is (Artifact/Relic 119 and Delve II armor mostly). All the new events and the different augmenting systems is kinda overwhelming and I'm not really sure how fast they progressed the game vertically. Basically I don't know if there's any new events which I can just skip entirely because better stuff has already come out.
Also, I kinda wanted to upgrade my Empyrean stuff but after reading a bit about it, I'm guessing Vagary is something I'll want to wait a bit before I step into.
Trying monstrosity cause it looks fun but.. do you really lose all your job levels every time you pick a new monster? That seems really shitty. Also some monsters need like level 60 this and that.. how do you get all of that if you lose all your exp each time?
By leveling those monsters too? You don't lose any progress (besides the basically negligible extra exp to next level).
It's like getting a ton of different jobs to level, I had fun but since there's no content it kinda drags after a while. It's fun getting new species to play with though like the Orthus and Sandworm.
Not that outdated, you can go right into Escha from Yorcia gear. There are a lot of different gear pieces that are still useful from the older escha zones, its kinda like Abyssea was where you still did stuff in the first two zones that were side-grades. Vagary is pretty easy now if you go with people that know what they're doing, can low man all of them.Been ignoring endgame stuff for a while now but been thinking of getting back into it. For the most part, there are still some side-grade gear that is used for jobs from Delve 1/2 but most of it was outdone by Escha stuff. Sent PM btw
What do people use these days to avoid collision detection with other pc/npcs? Is there some plugin for Windower that handles that or is that still a third party thing?
If a PC hasn't moved in 3 minutes, then collision for their character model is turned off. It's been that way for years.
pretty sure he was refering to GM mode some 3rd party app used. It seems that afk npc the regular game provides wasnt enuf for most people still somehow.
Right, that is what I was looking for. It is not a huge deal, was just curious if that functionality was added to Windower. It was much more of a big deal back when there were a lot more people playingh. It was just something I was thinking about randomly as I tried to get into position to trick attack one of my trust npcs.
There is nothing official, but all the information you would need to make such an addon is in windower/addons/libs/packets/fields.lua
What npc gives jp mastery titles back?
