What's the minimum requirement (gear/JP/whatever) to do JP farming/Escha events on BLM?

Depends on which zone:
For Escha - Zitah: Hagondes Set, no JPs required
for Escha - Ruaun: Hagondes Set with later upgradeing to almaric set, no Jps required but i would suggest to get the Tier VI spells at least, for Warder of Courage 1200 JPs required (Absolute Virtue)
for Reisenjima: almaric set with later upgrading into merlinic set oer HQ almaric set. JPs same as ruaun, but the lack of m.acc from JPs might hurt maybe on T3 and Helms.

With the xp bonus event going on I plowed through my remaining jobs to get them to 75 (hello Xbox 360 achievements) and I have no idea what merits are currently useful for the following jobs, please advise:

DRK wants 5/5 Last Resort Recast, Last Resort Effect, Desperate Blows, 1/5 Dark Seal, and 4/5 Diabolic Eye.

BRD wants 5/5 Madrigal and (5/5 Minuet.) They also want 5/5 Troubadour and (5/5 Nightingale.) I put ()s around the ones that are more debatable, but you might as well start with this setup particularly if you don't plan on playing bard very much.

I'd actually like to know the answer to this as well. If I ever play FFXI again, there will be no grouping whatsoever. Except maybe 1-2 bored friends.

Most jobs can solo a good portion of T1 Escha jobs, with some T2s being soloable as well. A couple T3s are too, but you need specialized jobs, gear, and skill to pull it off.

It might be difficult to get good enough gear to reliably pull off a lot of the solos without already having some escha gear, though.

I didn't know where to post this question. Is there any kinda trick to get the items from the Domain Invasion Wyrms to drop? I've lost count on how many times I have fought them and I have never gotten one. I see people with them all the time though.

I am curious to know if I can solo Alluvion Skirmish on THF with "bottom barrel" gear so to speak. Sparks gear, not very good rings or anything like that, I'm just trying to get Taeon gear for my BLU at the very least so I can start doing some end-game stuff.

Should I be sticking with Rala/Yorcia 1-1-1? Or can I go higher?
What Eudaemons should I be using as a solo THF?

I only have Eminent Dagger and an Iziikoh from a kind friend who helped me with Shark Delve clear to get a better idea of my DD capacity.

The bar for Alluvion Yorcia is extremely low. What you can do for that... make sure you have at least 1,000 Obsidian Shards (can convert Copper Vouchers via sparks NPC, 1 voucher to 1,000 Shards). Make a Sash pop, 1-1-1 is fine to start. Sash means your Shijin will be Kirin. Go in, get on the book, convert 1,000 Obsidian Shards to Puissance. Use that Puissance to spawn Kirin, who will very reliably proceed to clear the first floor for you. All you really need to do is wait, and then go smack the Stronghold when it's sitting at 1%, since summoned mobs can't finish it off. At that point, you can use your Fenestral Key to end the run and get your rewards, which will include a single (random) armor piece at that point. You may also wind up with Mellidopt Wings, which can be used to buy weapons or armor.

Obviously, that's being extremely conservative, and you'll want to try and do more as you get used to the event and gear up more.

Doing that means choosing to go up a floor, meaning you start with no summoned mobs and such again. You're allowed to convert 1,000 shards per floor, but the "let Kirin do it" strategy becomes less reliable on the second floor, and even less likely from there on out. If you want to actually clear all floors, you'll have to participate. You can earn Puissance by killing Escalents. On THF, you'd want to focus on Twitherym types. The others are largely elementals/hybrid elementals, which are far better targets for nukers. It's still very nice to convert shards, but most likely you'll want to summon cheaper mobs first to defend/distract while you earn more Puissance/etc. Having a character sit at the book so you don't need to run back and forth can help a lot too.

Other Alluvion areas are significantly harder to break into, I think.

That said, if you have folks you know that'd help, you might see if they'd be willing to assist you with some basic Escha stuff. You could potentially spend a good amount of time trying to get the Alluvion armor/weapons you want, and then (probably) need a lot of attempts to get them augmented well to boot. There are still some items/sets that Skirmish is a good (or the only) option to make. On the whole though, a lot of your staple DD/nuking gear now is from elsewhere. If you're all on your own, grinding Skirmish to gear up to the point that you can go start on Escha stuff is viable. Given that your friend was able to help you with Delve though, chances are, they could also get you set up with some Escha/Reisen items in fairly short order.

Ok, coming back for a few days through the return campaign, I quit right as Rhapsodies hit and never finished Adoulin missions. All my ls friends have moved to another server (still keep in contact with a friend from there), will I be able to complete the majority of Adoulin and Rhapsodies as a decently geared solo i119 blu with most spells and a trust party?

Doesn't appear unless you've logged into the game all the way at least once on that install. Not sure exact requisite file to allow it, but following the instructions in the last reddit post here accomplished it.
