Yeah, it shows up now that freebie time is up and I got the update normally. Might be good if someone could track down what specifically prohibits that, though. I occasionally move XI off my HD for some extra space. This time, for whatever reason, it treated it like I uninstalled, I guess.

Ok, coming back for a few days through the return campaign, I quit right as Rhapsodies hit and never finished Adoulin missions. All my ls friends have moved to another server (still keep in contact with a friend from there), will I be able to complete the majority of Adoulin and Rhapsodies as a decently geared solo i119 blu with most spells and a trust party?

The key to the final Rhapsodies fight is positioning so that your trusts are not in the range of the conal attack. Whether you tank, or npc tanks it, you'll need to position it properly or your healing trusts won't last very long. Personally, I've found that the dream team for this fight is Amchuchu (tank), Sehl'teus (dd/cure), Arciela 1(support/cure), Apururu/Kupipi (heals), Koru-Moru (support/heals), and yourself on any DD job.

Blm is pretty much king of single target. Others can get some decent numbers but thanks to bursting and the dmg reduction from multiple casts in a short time higher tier fights often prefer to have only the hardest nukers nuking. Blu yeah pretty much same as always though has some good single target too

SCH certainly is useful, since they're often the ones making the skillchains, if nothing else. I don't think RDM is common to use, but potentially can be. Distract/Frazzle III are very potent, Inundation is good, etc.

BLU is, if nothing else, fairly limited on its ability to magic burst, and has few long range spells.

To a point, it also might depend on what you're counting as high tier.

Your question is somewhat vague.

If by high-tier you mean high-tier battle fields, personally I do most, if not all of them, with TP burning strats. This consists of 1-2 DD, GEOx1-2, BRD, Healer (WHM/RDM/SCH), COR. BLU is a very popular DD since they come with very high accuracy, self haste 2, and CDC is one of the strongest WS right now. GEO focuses on fury/frailty, assuming you don't (and shouldn't) need additional accuracy. BRD sings all minuet songs and scherzo. COR does SAM/CHAOS (assuming again, you don't need accuracy). Most VD fights get taken down quickly and safely.

If by high-tier you mean general end-game content, a majority of it is focused on mana burn strategies with many people experimenting additional ways on tackling these fights. I've heard RNG strats, for example. For these mana burn strategies, BLM is the core of the strategy with access to Death which is immensely powerful, as well as a SCH to provide easy skillchains to burst off of. GEO is very important as they provide very potent buff/debuffs (most notably debuffs) for the BLMs, COR is also very useful (I consider COR a caster job in these fights since they roll, quick draw, and cast the rest of the time). RDM is used on select fights such as Maju where landing blind is top priority (although with the proper buff can be done on other jobs). BLU is less of a caster-type job and more of a melee job. They still have very potent cleaving capabilities, but this has limited use such as cleaving for merits, CP, and also I use it for vagary zones. Their single target nukes is very limited, since their spells have long cooldowns and BLUs don't have the easiest access to burst gear, which is critical in nuking efficiently (provides damage and accuracy bonus).

Edit: I should also mention top of the lack of burst gear for BLU, blue magic spells cannot burst unless under the effect of burst affinity, which is also a deal breaker.

Happening to me as well, but only on one char + mule... the other char can log in and change to mule no problem. Looks like a few people on the official forums are having the same problem.

Same thing happened this afternoon, had to let a friend log me in and zone somewhere else, can't move back into the zone without being stuck. It seems to be random which zone it is, for me it's La Theine Plateau.

Edit: Now it's Yorcia Weald too, just fucking great.

As much as I love pioneering bad luck, i'm sorry ya'll are having this. Take a look at my thread when I experience this, see if we're having the same issue

If so, good news, it stopped happening to me by itself, bad news, you'll probably never fix it on your own. I highly recommend, if you are experiencing what I did, you avoid zones that disconnect you, and if you get disconnected, connect from a new source like a Cell Phone hot spot or something.

Now logic might tell you its an internet Issue, and it may be... but if it is, I never solved it any other way than connecting from a completely new internet source, like above, A Cell Phone hotspot, or I even drove to a local target for their free Wifi... all the really strange BS info is in that thread :D

It's an old, old problem, and I don't think anyone has ever been able to solve it other than just by waiting it out. It's probably a problem on SE's side.

Almost the only time I ever get 3001 is when I have certain programs running in the background (starts with a T). It's pretty annoying, yeah. Usually have to wait like a good 3-4 hours before it fixes itself.

Haven't played since pre-Adoulin. What's the path of least resistance/grind in soloing the missions for Rhapsodies, considering my relic is nigh useless (as well as most of the other gear I currently have) and sparks gear/trusts seemingly can't get me past the Naraka. I'm assuming I need at iLvl 119 gear particularly for trust purposes, but I don't know which to go for.

PLD, WAR, RDM, NIN, THF, BLM, DNC, RNG are the jobs I have at 99.

Trust/sparks gear should actually get you to the final fight. Especially with a tank like pld. As far as easy fast 119 gear could try reforging af/af2 rem weapons. Could do the new event ambuscade. Fairly easy at lower tiers (actually pretty easy at higher tiers) that lets you buy stuff like various rem upgrade items (alex hpb hmp etc) and every so many points collected you get a free item that includes a 119 armor set that is a decent dt/hybrid set for ares jobs. Can also make a 119 weapon with Oboro which are pretty good

In that interview SE recently did they did outright state that the Narakas were designed so that they were the moment players had to stop and get some decent gear. Certain jobs have an easier time than others though. My thf for example generally just built tp and nearly or actually one shotted any trash mobs it had to kill.


Is there a working parser floating around that ISNT an addon or plugin? It not being it's own separate thing is extremely inconvenient for me.
