I already asked this in my new ls, but figured I'd ask here too. Is it worth soloing for Devious Die or should I just farm up the gil to buy them? I was told to farm the gil. lol

If you're patient and/or have mules, you can just spend login points on them this month. Frayed sacks/pouches are in the 750 point category. Usually, between WoE events or login point availability, it's faster to just farm gil. If the market is dry and prices are horrible, then maybe it'd be different.
so it's worth it if there's a small amount of people in WoE to make things faster, but if you're full-solo it'll take a while, undoubtedly
if there was a WoE campaign it def also helps
so it depends what you consider a faster method - die/residue prices could be low or high depending on your server.
in siren, i'd rather just farm the dies
oh, before i forget, you can also get frayed sacks/pouches from login points (750 ea).
Man this exp boost shit is amazing. I am getting my second job to 99 while waiting for other friends to do missions. I was wondering if it's worth trying to go for job points atm without having doing all the missions. So far we have done nations, zilart, CoP, and ToAU. I think before ToAU I was only getting like 300 capacity points a pop in boyahda. Should I just be waiting until I am done with every missions to start working on job points?
Also I hope more people start selling dust/dice. I got ~39 dice so far just spending my alt log in points but haven't seen too many people selling it yet, hoping it picks up in a couple days after people get their trusts.
Thanks you two for the info on the login point stuff, didn't even notice them there. The liminals I need are pretty cheap on Asura, like 10k a pop. The Die are almost 30k. lol
But, I make plenty off currency, so it's not a big deal to buy some and use login points on the rest.
So, with the free login campaign I decided to come back. The only character I have available is a pretty new character (35 is the highest level job). I want to try to get as far as possible in Rhapsodies of Vanadiel before the free campaign ends (I might pay for the month if I enjoy it enough). As for my knowledge of the game, I quit back when 75 was the cap and WotG had only a few missions, so probably not much anymore.
Anyway, my question is, what would you guys recommend I do with my login points? I at least know that trusts is a thing, so I was thinking of getting a few of them, and I see that I can get them for 100 points each (I got 500 from the first login). Which ones would you guys recommend I get for leveling and missions soloing? I'm looking to play mainly THF and maybe a bit of NIN, so whatever trusts that work well with those jobs.
I really like Ullegore, he's in the second set of 100 point options. He's a Corse type that nukes, stuns and he can cast Comet.
I'd say to farm the WoE stuff if you need them, myself. Spent maybe 10 hours the other day unlocking a WS from scratch. It can feel miserable going a dozen+ zones without a pouch drop, but you should get there eventually. And since my server was both low in supply and wanted like 150-200k per that were on the market, I figured I wouldn't be making that kind of gil in a similar speed.
IMO its better to farm gil than to farm WOE, that is just horrible from my experience even multi-boxing.
I agree to save for the upgrade materials for your Empyrean WS. You can get good trusts immediately from the Records of Eminence Alter Ego line. Kupipi and Mihli are whms, Valaineral is pld, Tenzen is sam, Adelheid is white arts sch, Joachim is brd, and Excenmille and Naji are DD. I think Sunbreeze Festival is going on so can get Mumor too
So I can't remember what are the the good atmas for abyssea besides Razed ruin?
If possible, I would try to do the last chapter of RoV as it rewards three KIs that boost CP/XP by 90% (so 100% boost if you complete RoV). Unfortunately, it does require a little progress into both WoTG and SoA, along with being at ilvl 119 to tackle the quests and BCNMs. Should you be unable to complete the last chapter, I would still go ahead and get some CP during the campaign, at least maybe 100 in order to equip Su2 gear and maybe get a nice boost depending on your job. When I first returned, my spot was some crabs with 2 cracklaws south of the Frontier station in Foret de Hennetiel. I was able to chain crabs infinitely, and get about 1700 cp a kill with Qultada's Corsair roll and a capacity ring active during the campaign. It's not much, but it was easy enough while zoning out listening to music.
As far as trusts go, i recommend mayakov. he hits like a truck, and if he decides to use Coming Up Roses you can pity whatever mob is on the receiving end. I've seen it do as much as 9k+ soloing reisenjima mobs, which put my own victory smites to shame. <.< He also uses haste samba, feather step, saber dance, and a couple other things, though no cures. Not sure if his haste samba is the default 5% or fully merited 10% haste, but wouldnt surprise me if it was, as saber dance is a merit ability.
Uka Totlihn has been a beast for me. She prioritizes haste samba, spams steps, and emergency cures. Plus her judgements do 4k+. I never got mayakov to do any significant dmg, and his haste sambas were infrequent.
edit: speaking of trusts, Mumor II is fucking weird. Opens with a tier 5 nuke, has a potent endrain on all her attacks...I cant figure out what she is.
The problem I've noticed with Mayakov is he kind of really prioritizes steps. So if your fights are all really short he basically never gets enough tp to ws or samba. Fights last longer though and he is a beast.
Other trusts I'd consider getting if people don't have are Karaha-Baruha. Basically best healer outside of unity ones. Star sibyl because well gives karaha refresh but also just because geo ones will always have niche uses so same goes for Kuyin and to a lesser extent Brygid.
