There might be some ways around it, but what I did a few years ago was:

Install the POL for another region. In my case I installed EU POL.
Adjust the registry to point the FFXI file folders to be the same as the other/US version.
Create a 2nd profile on windower to launch the other POL.

Bam. Two different POL's, 8 accounts stored.

The only issue I have is that updates can be kinda weird. The EU client will usually spend 20 minutes re-checking all the files, then it'll be good to go. Make sure to only login one account first to do the update process, otherwise you're stuck with multiple accounts trying to re-check. >_>

i use a batch file to copy over the login_w.bin file, i have two seperate login_w.bin files with 4 accounts in them each, and use a quick batch file to just copy over chars1 or chars2

if killing in besieged, i believe so.
if killing for mythic, no. i think they are on a normal nm timer

carmine cuisses +1 are 18% movement for both pld/blu. If you didn't have those jobs, then shneddick would be a great choice. Pet ring is also good if you do pet setups. Weatherspoon is also good for capping fc, but since ambuscade can give you 10% fc, the ring might not even be needed to cap you anymore.

1. Very quickly. I was on a four year break and was caught up enough in like a week and a half to do new stuff with my ls.

2. I'm on Asura, it's very active. I didn't have to multibox anything.

Besides blu, sch and all pet jobs are pretty good, run for certain things. Geo is strong on paper but I never see anyone bothering to do difficult solos with it.

GEO with a nuking build and trusts can go a long way.

all i see for shouts is ambuscade and capacity parties, neither of which i'm geared for (i have the sparks set and 117 +1 bayld set). what should i be doing as a fresh 99 to gear up? i tried shouting for yorcia skirmish a couple of different times but never got any interest. still looking for a social and eventual event linkshell to do stuff with so i'm just soloing at the moment.

You can solo yorica skirmish if you have cash. buy the yorica pop set + eudeamon sash. The sash lets you summon kirin with 1000 obsidian fragments. It'll reliably solo floor 1 for you. let it attack the node until its at 1% then go whack it with your weapon. instant win. It's how i geared myself up to current content.

Oh, and you can trade 1 copper voucher for 1000 obsidian fragments from the sparks npcs.

So assuming I quit 3 years ago, around the time VW2/legion were a thing, where would I begin if I cared to be successful/top of the game again? I left myself mostly naked having given everything away. Was a pretty hardcore player back in the day. Got a 99 relic and called it a day, potentially coming back for a bit.
