I searched with //findall and also checked my dbox on every character.

Honestly, I can't actually remember ever using it or confirming its existence in the last couple months, so at this point I'm pretty sure I either just sold it last time I played and forgot or lent it to an LS member for WS trials and forgot to collect before quitting. I'm fairly certain I was never keeping it in my main inventory so it would have been hard to accidentally get rid of it.

Quick Ambescule V1 question. (I guess this is the right place for noob questions)

As a tank do I just pull the group to the wall and turtle up? Voke, sentinel, spam C4? I did Difficult last night successfully but I really felt lost on what I should actually do, or what the strategy actually is.

if it was a mage setup, I'd park right there in the middle of where they spawn, and spam my JA. They'd want to get their skillchain/bursts off asap before muzzling goes off. Dragging them to wall is just time ticking till he does muzzling.

Zone has area wide hate upon aggro. Just run in sentinel > warcry/rampart > whatever, you don't even need to act on them, though you can cycle flash/voke on adds after boss dies.

Use enternity and just make a script that's something like:

input /targetnpc;wait 0.2;input /item "Boyahda Moss" <t>;wait 10;

copied and pasted a bunch.

It just seems to hang on me when it hits the green text portion.

Anyone know the criteria for ranking up monster rearing? Seems merely interacting/feeding them is slow (or seems slow to me). Does collecting items help? I havent been due to thinking it will hurt the chance of reeving memento due to mood degradation.

That said, I raised a sheep (after the initial one) > evolved it into Krakhul or whatever, received the momento from that one and still havent gotten the rank up book so I can't actually use the mementos. Not that they're super valuable, but I'd like to move on to higher tier monsters and knock out that quest.

Yeah, apparently my version of Enternity is different from normal. I deleted:

and not original:match(string.char(0x1e, 0x02))

would deleting that make it skip lines with items? Cause that should have been a toggled feature before he removed that. Its not like you cant scroll up through the log if you somehow missed a line with an item mentioned. I asked bout this a few months back and got no repy (the item lines not skipping.)

Yeah, it makes it skip lines.

Our config library isn't great, which is why a lot of things that "should be a toggled feature" typically end up hardcoded.

Awesome finally got on last night and it skips item lines. this is a godsend. I made a txt file with what to delete incase it ever got updated somehow so i knew what to delete again.

How hard would it be to come back and main PLD, and possibly COR from lv 75? I have a ilvl119 THF and a BRD in somewhat decent gear from when AF and relic first became 119. Don't really want to be a Bard whore anymore.

Not hard IMO. PLD will be extremely expensive since most groups are looking for REMA PLDs esp with Aegis.

Job points seem to be the biggest hurdle for doing endgame.

I haven't played for a very long time. I decided during the XIV server maint that I wanted to reinstall and mess around a bit but POL is updating insanely slowly. I remember it being bad but not this bad (2% over night while I slept). Any advice on how to fix this?

If you are reinstalling, then you are looking at downloading FIFTEEN YEARS worth of updates... o_o;;; Just make sure that it's moving and not frozen and it'll finish as soon as it's able to.

That's not really accurate, lol. Even if he's installing from discs then it's only updates released after the latest expansion disc. If he's installing the digital version then that's even less

2% in about 8ish hours is definitely not normal; 400 hour download times mean something is wrong.

Holy Hell last time I did it took less time from completely scratch to download the digital version and do updates with lol Comcast but new comp. If you are going that slow something seriously wrong

Think I found the problem.. POL Link: They were having problems with the update servers apparently. ^^;;

Should also note it's not as bad as it sounds as a lot of files over the years have been reupdated multiple times. The amount of files you have to download from a fresh install today is about as much as say a wotg/toau era fresh install + 1-2 updates
