I saw that, with save tp +250 right? BG-Wiki doesn't say much about it, does it literally just save 250tp after every ws, on top of the tp you get back for your "hit" during the ws?

It just saves 250 TP, but it stacks with Ionis's 10 to ensure you always get 35 TP back after each WS in Adoulin areas. You can WS in whatever gear you want and still maintain your 4-hit easily (3-hit with an Ikishoten proc? idk, I don't SAM.)
whaa? 4hit? What gear sets are sam using to get that?
edit: nevermind. I'm just gonna spend awhile and dig through all the armor Delve and Reive offer. Anything to look for specifically?
With a 350 TP return after WS, that's only 220 TP per hit needed, which you can get to in little more than reforged Relic/AF. There's also accessories and a bow SAM can wear from Delve which have STP on them, so there's a lot of room to swap some of those pieces out for Accuracy and such, it's not even like you have to strictly gear for it.
How do people find what gear to wear now? None of the wikis are updated beyond bgwiki just having the bare dat info dumped into it. Everything is augmented now so you can't search for it by stats. Do you just hope someone made a guide on ffxiah for that job with a bunch of gear sets (and that they didn't miss anything)?
There truthfully are a good amount of stickied guides in the job forums on FFXIAH, and some of them are kept up-to-date. Even if they aren't, people almost universally use those stickied job threads to post their latest gear sets in. Considering, if you see recent activity in those threads, you can go there for gear information. You can post as well.
Bleh, successfully quit this game for like 2 years, but all of the recent stuff is making me come back. >.> All the events starting on Wednesday at least give me the opportunity of trying new stuff out first during the free week they are doing and getting a few missed things from old events.
Other MMOs just aren't doing it for me at the moment. At least I'll have infinity things to level in this game through monstrosity and other random stuff to do.
edit: I'm just glad I'm not the type of person that throws everything out/gives everything away when quitting, I can never quit forever apparently.
Huh? The free log-in thing is the 10th-17th. Same period as 90% of the events this month. I think the only one that's longer is the campaign fest that goes to the 24th.
There's no use for the level 106 WKR crap is there? Handing it in to an NPC for bayld or anything?
Haven't played in 4 years and thinking of using the free week just to run around the game world one last time as i have no interest whatsoever in post 75 content. Do i still need POL installed as the game launcher or did they get rid of that? I merged my account with the SE account thing a few years ago if that matters. I also assume keyboard + mouse is still atrocious?
Still need POL, and mouse is still useless.
I'm surprised with all the QoL changes to XI that they have still yet to add a boot to FFXI option after you verify your log-in info for POL. Still need your POL Account info (the one with 4 letters and 4 numbers + password) also in addition to the SquareEnix account info.
So i'm trying to install XI and i keep getting errors due to the game trying to install to a drive that doesn't exist. This is the only game on the planet i have issues with installation.
It's not giving me an option to install to the drive of my choosing and tries to install to E:\, which doesn't exist.
I've followed this installation guide.
Is it installing or uninstalling? Reason I ask is that the installer gives you the option to install where you want, but if the registry info is there when you run it, it'll proceed to uninstalling instead, based on where that says the game is. So, if you previously had an E:\ drive with the game installed there, that could be why.
I've never had the game installed on my current PC. I solved the issue by creating an E:\ drive from a random usb drive and the option to select the drive i want to install to came up. No idea why it needed an E:\ drive to do that though.
So in typical SE fashion, they had a typo on the main site and the free login campaign started at 8 AM PDT today, not PM.
