been settling back in to the game the last few days, no chance of getting the Joachim trust atm?
Going to take advantage of the free week on the 15th. Was wondering how solo'able SoA missions are nowadays with Trusts. Is it something I can roll in with an Eminence-geared BST and stomp given their recent pets seem to be OP?
Last I played I got up to that mission with all the Umbrils and the NPCs you had to keep alive, and I couldn't manage it on either my i115ish MNK, SMN, or BLU. No idea on the difficulty on the following missions. Probably going to use some of the time to work on my bucket list also.
Depends on what you have and gearing of course but they have all been solod with trusts.
As far as the umbril one goes you should be able to do it on anyjob with decent magic they can spam though ones that can do earth/fire have a bit of an advantage as will ones that can AoE. In the end you don't really have to keep the npcs alive just kill stuff really fast as it comes at you. Blu with Subduction should work
With the jobs you listed and eminence gear I'd say you should be able to get to get to hades at least and probably kill him the first time maybe the 2nd.
As far as bst goes in order to really take advantage of it's current OP state you really need to have it geared and preferably have a bit of jps spent and merits. The difference is immense. Without going into detail but recent changes helped geared ones much more (especially the ready recast ones) to the point a full geared bst can do more with it's pet than possibly a full party of bsts in eminence. If you did want to go that route I'd suggest at least getting capped -ready recast (at least merits and gear though gifts would be nice too), any ilvl 119 axe (blu can get into an alluvion skirmish easy for that and help you work on other great gear for all your jobs), capped reward set (you can do this with just reforged feet and body so pretty easy), and the addon head with pet dt if you aren't using it for something else.
For people new at this leveling up faster than you skill up- there's skillup items (literally, use them and you'll gain a fraction of a skill point) as consumables that you can either buy with sparks or end up frequently being put up on the AH.
I managed to solo the Umbril one as a THF- it helps if you focus more on staying alive than killing, as the constant debuffing can drive you nuts. If you can keep the attention focused on your pet and just make sure the NPCs live, they can do enough damage to clear out the monsters with minimal killing assistance.
I did all of the missions dual boxing BLU/RUN and SCH/RDM. For that one, I just spammed AoE Blue Magic, probably tossed a cure or two from my alt. Relative to the later missions, it's quite easy, though none of them approach the level of challenge some of the older missions presented at the time.
Trusts have durability issues in the later missions. I largely swapped to GEO style Trusts, but if you were careful about positioning some of the others may last.
I'd say the main hurdle in the series is 5-2. One of the BCNMs has major poison DoT to overcome (and frequent repositioning), both have meleeing NPCs to keep alive and helper mobs/etc that can get wonky with the enmity adjustments.
Soloing BCs in chapter 5 would likely be a challenge to attempt, not just a toss pet and win thing, but you'd probably just need someone to help heal you if you have damage taken sets.
Hey, I plan on returning sometime soon but I don't want to have to go through some insanely long download time from all the updates. I know I saw a post somewhere to download all the patches in a compressed file, just can't seem to find it. Anyway, can someone post a link so I can download all the updates quicker. Thank you!
The thread for the patch downloads was removed due to a request from SquareEnix. You can still find the page if you know what it was called.
Are the TehKrizz files good enough to use? If I go through PlayOnline like normal I'm sure I'd be downloading the patch for days. Also, I did not fine the update downloads on the playonline.com website.
Question about this. In the page above it says that if you disable the physical OTP you lose access to Mog Satchel.
Yet I know (from all my friends, some of whom I had access to their accounts) that it's not true.
So who am I to believe here? My friend who wants to disable the OTP Generator is worried he might lose access to Mog Satchel.
I disabled mine and I can still use satchel. Think that assistance just doesn't know what it's talking about as SE has always maintained that you can still use satchel
When I switched to the Smartphone app I could still use the satchel, and that was before you could get the satchel via the smartphone app. Though I never really figured out how to get a satchel on my mule.
If you don't have OneTime Password enabled, then new characters created won't get the Satchel until you enable the OTP again. They never deactivate the Satchel on characters that already have it, and never have,
That's the page I was hoping you'd find. It will minimize your update time. However, people on Reddit are saying that patching from the official download of the Seekers Collection that was also linked in this thread only takes ~50 minutes to fully patch if you leave POL Viewer in-focus. It only slows down if it isn't the active window.
I must admit I'm at a bit of a loss at what to do to progress further with my gear. I have THF and MNK at 99 with the appropriate subjobs, and I mostly duo with a friend (WHM and DNC). We have Sparks gear etc, and I know the whole Relic/AF upgrades path, but besides that I'm a bit clueless on where to go next. What's the next good step to take and how far can you actually get by only playing with one or two friends?
Looking for a early 90s camp that is "easy" to handle. I spent almost all the 80s beating up on weapons in sky, and if there were more mobs where I was, I would have stayed there, but I was limited by repops.
I tried Dangruf with 4 rabbit/2 whm gobs page. That was fine most of the way, though finding a safe spot was interesting. I'd get links/adds a lot, but I ended up warping when I had 4 adds and my SP was down.
I wanted to stay away from a lot of those that have bats, because that's too much crap to erase, even with Kupipi there. I just would like some easy mode til 95 if I can have it. Any advice?
I disabled my physical token years later and kept my satchel as did anyone else who did so.
I then went to a software token, and then later disabled that because I have wiped my phone about 15 times since then. It is a real pain in the ass to set up over and over as well as dangerous if you don't have your removal codes and things saved. I still have satchels on all my characters.
You are safe.
Anything is an upgrade.
There are various FFXIAH.com posts about gear for the jobs in their respective forums.

Go by that or go to Abyssea and call it a day.
I think that's where I came up with the idea of going to Dangruf, since Goblins are not too much a chore. The bats I was hoping to avoid, so that Kupipi isn't spending all day casting erase. Maybe it's not so bad, since the MP pool isn't so small anymore.
As for Abyssea, if you mean joining a cleave party or something like that, I don't have the cash to get included if that's what you mean, but if you mean just having some fun on my own for a bit, I wouldn't mind that. I'm not in a rush. I just want to have a path.
Worms?
The rare break away go fight birds or something else shout for the coast? Can still just do worms though.
I go for the whole experience of leveling to 70-75 aloneish before going to Abyssea and people think I am crazy, but after that it was never part of the game so I just abyssea to 70s-99 since I got my fill. So, if that was your goal I get it, but yeah you don't have to join a cleave. I didn't know those were still around tbh.
