These guides helped me tremendously. Thank you!
That's what I was talking about. I don't have a subscription active but was able to log in before I made that post.
I'm afraid we've finally been...Moogle Memed.
Spoiler: show
Anyone got a link to a current map pack? Ones I've found don't have all of Adoulin maps and fuck wiki'ing every zone for reive hunting and such.
Aside from built in bonuses in Gifts, what are all the possible ways to increase CP gain? I know of rings that can do it, which are the best to aim for getting? I've heard about a cape and an augment, how is the cape and the augment gotten? Also, a kupopower and a trust apparantly can increase it as well? If I've missed any, please let me know. Also, how do the bonuses add up with each other exactly? Thanks.
Main thing you might be overlooking is that Reive objectives for Records of Eminence have a small increase to CP gain as a first-time completion reward. All together, they net a 55% boost.
Augmented cape is a possible reward from Incursion, however, there's a crafted cape as well (smaller bonus than augment can potentially give though). There's a Capacity Ring from sparks, which is 50% on limited charges, and Trizek ring from the anniversary event with 150%. The Capacity Ring has a short reuse, so you could keep using that, but would I guess just have to get a new one when it runs out. Trizek ring has a two hour cooldown, but unlimited uses.
The Kupofried trust from the behemoth event going on gives an XP/CP bonus, the Vana'clock from the same event gives Moghancement: Bounty that does as well. Similarly, Corsair's Roll boosts it.
Offhand anyway.
Besides Reive RoE bonuses and Cor roll, I believe that's all of them. Lair, Colonization, and WKR RoEs all provide a 1-3% permanent bonus to CP rate. The cape you've heard about is from NQ coffers from Incursion. Alternatively you can buy a cape on the AH that is +25% or 30% for the HQ. I haven't seen conclusive testing for CP rate, but I'm inclined to think that all of the bonuses are additive.
Thanks for the info. Before I stopped playing last year I already had done the RoE objectives for the 6 WKR, is this CP bonus retroactive? Also the BG Wiki page doesnt specify anything about Reives giving a bonus to CP gain.
It's retroactive, yes. The bonus is relatively new, only having been implemented in the March version update.
Any similar RoE for permanent XP bonuses? I still got a lot of merits to grind out, and still not quite sure what's the modern XP/CAP farming since modern mobs give 2k+ XP easily with the Rhapsody KIs. Also, do folks party for farming job points? I don't know if it's a solo affair or "best geared DPS only" situations. Also guessing the +CAP gift is priority before anything else in both categories for all the jobs.
Need to find me an LS on Asura at any rate since all of mine are dead, feeling rather lost without a casual chat room. Balamor can bugger off also, haven't been capable of soloing him yet with buffed 4 Trusts.
And lastly, what's the Acc. reward on some RoE? Is that accuracy?
Nope. Rhapsody's KIs are the first of their kind in that regard.
Acc. is short for "Accolades", used in Unity.
There are shout groups for capacity point parties, though I've only been dual boxing. Far as I know you do want fairly decent gear if grouping, since you'll have a hard time landing hits otherwise. Just going after DCs - especially right now - is still pretty decent, and easy doable with Trust support.
Gifts are automatically unlocked based on applied job points, so you can't really prioritize the +CAP stuff. It's total points used, not upgrades. Capping one item at 10 means 55 JPs applied, which will get you to the 9% bonus, and so on.
If your playtime aligns with mine (I'm EST) I can help you with missions. My LS is empty as well though, so can't help there :/
Hello, could anyone please help me with the "Direct3D" issue?
Using Windows 8.1 and I have .NET 3.5 installed and active and I have Direct Play installed and active. I have DirectX 8.1 installed even though it doesn't show up in the DXDIAG settings, but it doesn't show up for my friend either who doesn't have it installed and can play fine.
I am playing on a laptop with integrated HD4000 GPU and it has an NVidia GPU that it is not set to use but this shouldn't be an issue as I have 3-boxed on an ancient Intel CPU (i7 720M) with ancient integrated graphics no problem.
If you see the FFXI config box you can see I have a display error of some kind and it doesn't show up and Playonline is completely pixelated and crap.
Can anyone help me with fixing this issue please?
