Have them all save Inner Court. Spent the last couple days working toward that, really. Would've actually had IC ones if they weren't undead and Sheep Song stuck. Alas, Slug Shot'd to the face.
Oh yeah then just skip them and do easier ones. You only need to have spent like I think 50 or so imps to do missions. Doing more assignments/ranking up will get you a few things like free wkr drops and faster imp recharge and lower wkr cost but nothing too important now except needing to do them all start ergon quest. If you don't plan on doing something like that I'd recommend building up couriers. It's super easy with warps which it sounds like you have and they are still useful afterwards. Like the kahmir one is 10.5k xp/balyd for 30 seconds of work so nice to lvl random jobs/get balyd if you got random downtim
Yeah, I just did what Ceizack ones I could. Was enough to push me into the next mission part, anyway.
Edit: And fuck missing my second WKR in a row now catching the tail end of a shout.![]()
I last played right before Kamihr Drifts came out, am I fucked to come back and be relevant?
I had really good gear though.
Worst case, you can walk to the AH, buy some Bloodthread, turn it in at the Inventor's, repeat until you get higher Inventor's missions, repeat with new item(s) from AH.
I use the exp from it to level random jobs that I don't want to bother with otherwise. Note that Adoulin -fame- also helps with getting past that, so doing quests will drop the number of imprimaturs you have to burn in the long run.
Hello,
I am returning to this game for the first time in two years on a permanent basis (I've actually only been keeping my account active to build log-in points, but not really playing).
I want to get back into the end-game scene here on Bismarck. I have figured out (somewhat) what job points are and how to acquire them. That's not the main issue (though certainly is an important one).
To put this simply:
What gear do I need to be effective at end-game as a WHM these days? And without an HNMLS, what can I realistically get at the moment to get up to the point where I'll need an HNMLS to cap it all off?
I can figure out how to get it for the most part, I just need help being pointed in the right direction to begin with.
Second: What gear should I look into getting as a GEO to be end-game ready?
Builds, advice, etc are all welcome.
And thank you in advance.
For whm capped cure cast set and cure potency and then a decent amount of refresh for idle is generally the standard... which you could have had 2 years ago so not sure if/what you could use to boost that. Things like more -enmity with the cure pot of course wanted. Enhancing set for boost/bars. You'll probably want to reforge af3 legs and body at a minimum since they were still highly useful unforged. Depending on what you are doing enfeebling sets can be quite useful. As far as what you can get... realistically depending on server you should be able to put together shouts relatively easy for things like skirmish, unm and delve which should be a bit of your gear. And of course can enter wkr real easy to get cure pot club if you need some help with cure set. But really if you were well geared 2 years ago you might be fine now though could certainly upgrade a few pieces here and there whm also seems to be fairly in demand so getting into groups shouldn't be too hard except I suppose alluvion yorcia but your geo will be fine in there if you have a good nuke set
Try FFXIAH forums for gear sets. The WHM gear thread I think is mostly caught up on the first post. The GEO gear thread is a little behind, but if you search back from the most recent posts, you should be able to find updated nuke sets and Empy gear being talked about.
What is the bonus to exp and cp that Kupofried gives? Also, since Moogles follow whoever has him summoned, is his aoe range of the buff wide enough to get back line jobs if the person who used it is front line?
It's 10% EXP and CAP. His AoE isn't small but it's not large enough to stand at max cast range and be in range for the bonus. Kupofried will stay way back if you call him last though since Trusts seem to line up in the order you summon them if they're not melee jobs. It's entirely possible to have kupofried out of range of the person that called him if you move too far away and he's in the back.
This week back has been a crazy breath of fresh air, even if everyone I knew is either gone or on another server now. I'm loving the homepoint warps and trust spell NPCs, but I'm not sure I want to spend the rest of the free week grinding from 90 to 99 just to say I got it done.
One thing I always wanted to do was to see the end of the WotG missions though. Anyone know if it's feasible solo at 90MNK or BLU?
So I just came back, and honestly have only played a few min while a friend showed me some of the new teleports and trust npc stuff, but can i call my trust NPC anywhere/anytime? aka in Dynamis or soling etc? I'm currently only 99 PLD/WAR/BLM/RDM and not very geared at that. I'd like to get warmed back up to playing and if I can call an NPC to actually dmg or heal me that would be a good way to acclimate myself to the game after some time off.
It's absolutely trivial at 99 in ilevel gear, so you could just try to push to 99 for that reason too. It really shouldn't take that long to do unless you have very limited playtime.
They can't be used everywhere, but the areas they can be seem to get expanded most updates. SE keeps a list here.
Awesome thanks so much! I know like 1 person in the game now so if he's not on for me to harass I'm spending hours searching![]()
Playtime isn't really the issue as much as being largely lost. I came back for a month or so right before the cap went from 90 to 99 and did some abyssea stuff and spent the time enjoying the hilarious exp in parties there while getting a few important atma but during the free week I've tried leveling on leeches in bostaunieux oubliette after reading it mentioned as viable exp for 90. Past that I wouldn't know where to get gear, but I'll reconsider trying for 99.
I was pretty shocked to see just how barren it's become though. A /search all turned up just 500 players (not sure what server I'm even on now after jumping ship from leviathan with a friend). I would've thought there would be more server merging with populations that low.
