Someone was talking about making it from 90-99 earlier:

Grab Trusts if you don't have them, and try the last page of the Gustav Tunnel GoV tome. I went from 90 to 99 in an evening, with sets that were good back at the end of Abyssea (read: terrible now). With the new exp ring and double XP from the reward campaign it should go pretty quickly. The turtles can be annoying for melee DDs at first, but after a level or two they become much more manageable. The Liminus Earring also drops from caskets there, and is pretty nice to have. Opening brown caskets is gonna kill your XP rate though.

I was using Ulmia/Koru-Moru/Qultada as trusts, though I'm not sure that they're all available at this point.

99 atm, had pretty much top end shit before leaving. NNI stuff, mandau was only 95 though :/

Precisely. Each Main Nm unlocks a different slot. On the upside there are RoE associated with them that upon completion give you one of the upgrade materials the first time. And I see shouts fairly often though not sure how good those groups are

At least on my server all the shouts are for tank, tank, 3x whm, cor, and everything else blm. It honestly reminds me a lot of 2006 Dynamis.

yeah but the first 3 NMs in each chamber arent that bad.

the slime zone can be done with a bit luck on pillars and a strong nukeing party (Tank GEO WHM BLM BLM GEO or so)

the ele zone can be done with one pt too but needs a bit a more specific setup Tank GEO(for nukes too) COR (with approirate ranged attacks) RNG WHM BLM could prolly take it down

the fomor zone is the worst one and requires the most people you might want to have 2 PTs for that one for the clear.

melvien/hades are then cake (assumeing everyone knows what they are doing)

I haven't seen a shout for it since the free login campaign started, and everyone I know quit/changed servers/got banned. No af3 for me I guess.

Does anything worthwhile in escha not have a 3 member requirement?

This week back has been a crazy breath of fresh air, even if everyone I knew is either gone or on another server now. I'm loving the homepoint warps and trust spell NPCs, but I'm not sure I want to spend the rest of the free week grinding from 90 to 99 just to say I got it done.

One thing I always wanted to do was to see the end of the WotG missions though. Anyone know if it's feasible solo at 90MNK or BLU?

90-99 is obscenely quick, and you can get the limit break items for 95-99 for 10 login points each (fossilizeds + seasoning stones).

The last fight with any ilvl-geared friend along will be trivial, assuming you get an olde rarab tail and freeze the Taru up. At that point, you'll at least have easy access to Spark gear (and if you got Sea access earlier, 109 AF/Relic at least.) and that'll make WoTG quite soloable.

Generally when a shout says blm they really mean aoe magic dmg so often will accept and possibly prefer geo, bst, blu depending on what exactly is being done. Sams are also generally wanted for legs/body popping.

This got much easier with Trust: Ayame. After you use a ws once, her AI sets her to save tp until you hit 1000 which triggers her to use a weaponskill that will open a skillchain with the ws you used previously.

Kinda late so probly just missing something but...I have two char and one keeps getting double exp of the other. I just finished the 3 Rhapsody KI, plus Echad ring.

It's like the lesser exp char had double exp campaign end early

Appreciate any suggestions

edit: another weird glitch is i got the "you have yet to make room" message after finishing an RoE but i'm 72/80 and there's no finished RoE to collect on

Depends he said trials which makes me think the ws killshot ones which ayame wont help much. If it's just breaking latents for weapons the behemoth event right now is probably even better what with the 500 regain lol

Is the char with lesser exp equipping any ilvl weapon or armor? If you're exping in adoulin areas, mobs have reduced exp gain if you aren't wearing ilvl weapons/armor, or something, I had this same problem but idling in ilvl gear solved it.

DDs are still good. But the stigma on most newer events has shifted from going apeshit on WS to haveing only 2-1 Melees doing an SC and haveing your BLMs/GEO/SCH Magic Burst for 10k - 30+ dmg (read each of them doing that much), since they uped the MB dmg by 2.5 and added a very nice gearset for that through alluvion. This isnt the case for all events, just for the newer ones. You still can clear most of the events by going all DD out, but some are built around SC + MB (example T4 and T5 Vagary boss). This also has to do with the way SC resists were changed (they dont resist anymore) and how WSs were adjusted (they scale much better with higher TP makeing you loose almost no dmg if you withhold TP to SC due to unresisted SCs)

you can find melees in every corner in vana, finding good support and excellent nukers is harder.

Do both chars have signet/ionis/etc? Did you do RoV on both chars? because the 3 KI give a 90% Exp bonus combined. Both Chars are the same level? As for the message it will spam till you collect the item even if you have room because you probably didn't have room when you finished the quest. If there isn't any quest that's yellow under RoE with #/# completed then it is just a weird glitch.

Port San d'Oria (J-9)
Port Bastok (K-13)
Port Windurst (M-4)

Windurst one right outside the mog house, near the Monstrosity NPC.
