Thanks. I do not have to do any Wanted battles, I can just spam easy objectives until I reach that rank?
No any objective seems to work. I think the non repeatable unity ones seem to do better
I'll use Adoulin rings as an example, but I know the Vocane ring has been reported to be a misprint. The Healing ring though, having Cure Potency II. Just what is II supposed to mean for that, and other things, since I know there are certain JA/JT that have II+ on other items?
The -II indicates that it surpasses the normal cap for that bonus.
Well, I made it 30 hours past the free week ending time, but it's come to a close. Left the game on, and the server didn't boot me, so got those extra day-11 log-in points and rounded out my event porter slip.
But the item buildup got to be too much and I had to risk switching to my mule, and going down to the character select screen means you can't get back on. Next time though, I'mma shift things around and push it as far as it'll go.
As a THF, I'd have to say the claims of the game being super solo are not quite on the mark. God help you if you want to get things done but don't have a pet or kite job. Thankfully a subset of my old LS was alive in there.
It's weird to see how the meta has changed. Last time I was on /nin was dead and /dnc was up, but apparently they've stopped the habit of designing encounters where pmuch all attacks wipe or punch through shadows, so /nin is back?
And I have to wonder if the behemoth event was to generate data on just how much people dkwtf with skillchain elements, and might be the basis of some cleanup there in a later patch.
Practically speaking, the behemoth event code could probably be reused for a training arena, and way to let people break trial weapons much, much faster. They don't seem to have indicated that tweaking things to make SCs easier to discern without resorting to external resources is on their to-do list, but you never know. The moogle does have a very lengthy explanation and WS/property list on hand.
The actual event doesn't seem, to me, to be especially indicative of SC use. Plenty of people know chains they could use, if only the NPCs or other players would stop spamming. But, that's the more typical thing - figuring out something that works ahead of time, with commonly used WS. Not memorizing the properties for a hundred+ WS to call up on a split-second basis. So, I'm not sure if they'd realistically have expected many players to really nail it.
Ok, this Arciella's Resolve mission (Adoulin). I'm in these sewers and "A strange design is etched into the gate". What am I missing here?
Nvm, I guess I'm at the wrong spot.
Caved in and resubbed for a while to finish up the WotG missions after nostalgia kicked me in the balls. Wish empyrean weapon skills were easier to get, but it all seems like a massive headache since I'm basically on my own for the time being unless I'm missing something obvious (with just under 4mil in funds and no reliable way to supplement that).
It's pretty hilarious the gap in power once I ticked over to spark gear, almost soloing Shinryu on mnk/dnc without brew (stupid 1 HP draw in). Loving the trust NPCs for leveling shit that I don't have optimal gear for anymore, a it's just a warm feeling seeing favorite NPCs again. It's amusing watching my brother on a new account hit 30 before unlocking subjobs and almost 50 without a chocobo license or kazham access. Kinda worried for him about older content that relied on crafters making money like gobbie bag quests and the random nation missions. Is fame still the massive time sink that it used to be?
You can get Empy ws with WoE items now. 30coins/100die/100residue if you want to skip the NM trials completely or something like 10/30/30 if you want to spend time doing the NM trials. WoE is easy to solo unless it surges or you can use login pts for some of the items. For gil you can farm alex for an easy 500-600k/run.
You can buy most of the gobbiebag items for a total of around 1-1.5m now OR you can use login points to buy items that will let you bypass the crafting mats. A lot of crafting items that were needed for quests have been made easier to get (although I concede some might still be a bitch). A lot of the Conquest Week waits/JP midnight waits have also been eliminated. Fame is fairly easy still with item turn ins (moss/cabbage depending on how much gil you want to blow and cornettes for windy, etc).
Fame still takes the same amount of effort, I guess, but much less time due to ease of traveling around via HP's etc. You can buy cornettes for 50 sparks each if bastok isn't in 2nd place or higher to buy from the npc for mandagora mad for Windy/Mhaura fame. And corn/cabbage/moss for the sheep quest in Selbina for sandy/bastok. Alternative for bastok is spamming darksteel ore x2 to Mighty Fist in the darksteel forge since it's really common from mog gardens. That starts from reputation 3 though. Sandy you can spam moat carps from mog gardens too. Norg fame is still yagudo necklaces or zinc ore quests in windy and bastok respectively.
As far as empyrean ws go you can buy dice/residue with log in points if you can't afford to buy them from bazaars, or farm them slowly from WoE since you can use trusts there now.
Join up with Apururu at the Unity NPC. Make sure you do some of the Records quests under "Unity" (I usually at least get in the "kill 20" quest with the occasional other one and the send-one-unity communication is "duh") and the next tally (once a RL week like Conquest tally)), you should have Apururu show up in your summonable list of Trusts. If you switch, you lose access and won't get the new Unity leader's Trust until the next tally in turn. It'll also let you do the "kill 10 monsters with your Unity leader's Trust", and that + the kill-20 is more than enough if you do them daily.
Spoiler: show
Record of Eminence Sparks. If you use them to get vanilla lvl70-90 gear, you can turn around and sell them to npcs to get 10x the gil that you spent in sparks (literally, that's how they set the sparks price, took the sell to NPC price, and moved the decimal to the left). Depending on the server conditions, the skill tomes can be sold to players for a better ratio, on the AH even. You just need the price of a stack to be north of 24k.
https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Category:...ime_Challenges < if you can be on for a "Gain Experience" challenge, if you hit up SoA after getting the Rhapsodies KIs (and maybe use Kupofried trust, get it if you don't have it), you gain enough XP to clear it with every single mob kill. You'll actually need to go dump sparks/accolades/merits a coupleatchree times if you work the full window.
Also, unity accolades can be used to get a refractive crystal that's used to augment a certain piece of gear, though like tomes it's value is player market dependent. On Bahamut they're only going for 4x the accolade cost. Though you may want to save accolades to be able to do/join in shouts for the Unity Wanted system (it's like a lowman Voidwatch, but without the proc system or quest progression).
There's no need to wait a week at all. Just get 5 points on your partial evaluation and you'll get the trust in your list. If you switch you have to get 5 points in the new unity but again you don't need to wait till the next tally. 5 points is 5,000 accolades. Quests are the fastest way to earn accolades and I guess that's why everyone assumes this is what unlocks UC trusts... but it's just accolades.
Well attempting the siren nm at 80 didn't work. Got her to 50% till she despawned from fighting it too long lol
