Saw this movie last night. Had a lot of fun, I've never been picky about action flicks, though.

One thing did kinda make me laugh:

They had some actor during the wall scenes who kinda looked like Andy Richter. His two scenes definitely implied that he was going to be some minor comic relief dude, but then is never seen again. Was pretty obvious someone got his scenes cut hardcore. Feel bad for the dude.

Just got back. 3 complaints that I can think of at most.

1 .Not enough China and Russia we didn't even get to see the Tesla fists Russia is supposed to have.
2. I'm slightly confused as to why they think the rift closing was permanent.(Aliens could just build a new one)
3. The movie ended.

Hopefully movies showing the events during the great Kaiju war come up later on. I guess they couldn't screw over the pacific rim comic that showed the first fight and all but oh god it would have been priceless to see the Kaiju's face when the first Jaeger appeared just like in the comic for half a second.


Hannibal chau was the only after credit sequence right? I'm kicking myself because it occurs to me now that there might have been others i missed.

It was. In the comics it has a chest laser fueld by shooting off all the power into well a giant beam.
I guess there must have been an explosion mode as well for when the Jager is too disabled to get closer and/or aim properly.

Hmmm I was gonna wait until I get back to the states before watching this but I saw they are giving away jaeger trading card, so I caved and watched it here in Hong Kong. I got the crimson typhoon one, is this China exclusive or US version get crimson typhoon also?

They spent could of scenes building up the Russian and Chinese Jaeger, only to have it lolwtfpwned within couple seconds, I was like OH COME ON!

They proved real useful by having both Kaiju show their special skills. Otachi with her acid and tail and Leatherback's organic EMP. Because they went immediately for leather's EMP once they got out there.

Saw it for a 2nd time today, in 2D. Much preferred in that format. 3D was too murky with all the night scenes. But goddamn, just as great if not better.

This shit was super cheesy, haha. Felt like I was watching all those old animes wrapped into one cheesy good time.

I'm amazed it took them so long to figure out slapping some blade weapons on those things will do significantly more damage than just using fists though lol

Yeah you can pick a lot of things apart if you want to. That was one of the worst (We're out of options... Oh wait we have an incredibly useful sword!).

But I enjoyed it, shit was intense.
