The red jaeger (Crimson Fury?) was built by the chinese, right? Did they show any jaeger at all from the japanese? If not, isn't that fucking weird?

Crimson Typhoon is China's and Coyote Tango was in Mako's flashback scene. Except it barely was even seen during it.
if only they had shown the main chick get tentacle-raped
I would wait at least for the weekend or some more reliable reports - do remember that /tv/ has seemingly made it their mission to troll and shit all over Pacific Rim in any way possible. They're almost as bad as /a/ at this point.
Spoiler: show
I translated it again because whoever did that sounds pretty unsure.
>The template of antis [haters]
>Before open to public: it'll absolutely flop
>The day before open to public: no tickets have been reserved
>The day of release: it's only selling in urban areas, rural is totally empty
>Following week: Even if the initial response was good, the sales won't grow
>2 weeks after: No matter what you say, it'll drop soon
>3 weeks after: Even if it's a hit, the production cost was too high and it'll still be in the red
That's what I got.
And yeah, that's generally what haters do. They look for anything bad to say and ignore the positive. What I'm confused about is why there would be haters in Japan for this movie in the first place... it's a movie with giant robots.
._.
man i just watched that news show (first vid) on the other page too. What a trainwreck lol. "Fat otaku heaven"... all of my facepalms. Thanks for upholding that stereotype of dumb cliched foreigners del Toro, we sure needed it. Although the crack about American dollars was superbly bad as well. Also wtf @ Mana being there lol, I'm sure she really cares about giant robots >_> Gotta have that celebrity presence I guess, del Toro just isn't enough I suppose >_>
Weekend gross was $9.4 Million (USD); I guess W.B. Japan was estimating around 9.7, but it is within their margin of error.
breddy good opening for Japan.
<_< More gossip and by gossip I mean too lazy to post sources (I got the numbers wrong and someone corrected me thanks). It's doing a 'killing' in China. GDT should throw in some extras in the Blu Ray version and have an extended Crimson Typhoon battle. China gave it a hugeass push, something that japan could never do, bunch of...
You know China has like a billion more people than Japan right?
Although I guess it opened 6th there.
This movie was too amazing to put into words. One of the old Japanese monster movies in a future setting? A three armed mech piloted by triplets? I really do hope they come through with the sequel.
Spoiler: show
you cried? i dont even...
Not gonna lie. I got a bit choked up when Warlow and Heimdall bit the dust
i think you mean stringer bell
When I first saw it I really hated Hansen's ass. I was bummed out when he and Pentecost had to sacrifice themselves... a single tear rolled down my cheek. No, but really I didn't want them to die.
Just saw it. Movie was fucking awesome, definite blu ray buy.
October 15th is dvd/bd
Any idea if it's going to have a Director's Cut? I feel like maybe it won't...
