If you move too fast, the game doesn't update your actions fast enough.
Been 2boxing Briareus for my Almace (tired of using gimpy WoE version), and that side of things going smooth since all the NMs are PI popped, which makes my lack of red triggers less an issue (BLU w/ WHM box, wasting around 25% on PIs used).
For Sobek though, I'll probably end up Whisker burning chests for Guku KI since I'm not going to be a douche and claim a 15min-repop NM I can't guarantee to get red on, so I'm wondering what amount of pearl/amber is recommended for that, and what mobs are fastest do obtain suchs levels in Misareaux. Been awhile since I had to burn stuff solo, and I'm used to doing it in a group where lights were already established and TE was well farmed back during Abyssea's prime.
Conning people into helping me farm Sobek KIs for +2 items will be a last resort.
Just don't have the patience nor spirit to lvl a war or nin and properly gear it just for the sake of farming a weapon for my blu. Perhaps I need to find me an event LS on the side that still farms the zones, rather than strictly Legion/VW focus.
What I did for sobek was build lights on madies. They easy to fight good for pearl and some azure for TEs and leviathan roams there for lots of amber. I generally capped amber to keep a decent amount of chests gold when I had some azure in there. Plus you need lvl 5 chests for KIs. Might even be able to get people to come hold KIs for free xp or open chests. I'd recommend crabs for burning since they nuke easy hit like well crabs and there are 2 groups neither which are usually camped so can keep them EP usually. Monitors work decent too though especially with the whole magic aggro
Probably will be burning on the Crabs since I'm familiar with them already, and there's lots of breathing space on both ends of that camp so I don't need to make round trips. Pearl going to be a waste of time trying to get that capped at any rate. Will probably have to make two trips into the zone to complete a set. One for Guku KI, the other for Lizard/Bugard.
If I ever make it that far, as least Apademak Horns will be easier. Throw gil at AH for Sisyphus frags (fuck that NM), farm the others, bug LS folks pre-event to come over for 30min to burn some NQ Khims, then kill/brew the HQs.
People like to kill shit, just not the prep farming. ;/
Don't need to cap pearl. Even before they upped chest droprate you stopped gaining before you capped. I'd say around 100-150ish pearl gets you capped now. Basically I azure 2 emphs for lots of azure then mostly pearl the mandies while waiting for levi to pop for enhanced amber until I cap amber.
Yeah I hear ya. I got lucky and had old friends just returning after like 3 years. So me teaching them about lights and chest and tons of what they thought was rediculous amounts of free xp was awesome for them lol
Kinda makes me regret not taking a DD job more seriously until late into Abyssea's prime. Primarily used mage jobs, and emps are all lol for them. Nowadays my LS has a good 1/5th of the Emps/members it used to have, thanks to Voidwatch and drought of content making everyone lose interest.
That also included all our Ochain PLDs, derp, the hours I wasted helping farm VNMs for those.......

Got an unrelated question: Anyone know if Immunobreak resets if you land an Enfeeb that normally has zero issue being resisted? Outside of spamming Para1 for a VW trigger, the system seems absolutely fucking useless.
I used to AE solo in misareaux coast as RDM. I'd pull a ton of mandragora with 0 lights, knock them down to 1-10% with edge and let them knock themselves out on my spikes to get a bit of pearlescent. I was usually able to cap it pretty quickly by opening the resulting low level red chests.
Only useful thing to note is that the appearance of the leviathan clone depends on Bastion. It's never up on my server anymore, so I had to get amber lights the slow way; the bugards and apkallu give twice as much amber as any other monster.
I'm 97% sure that was stated in the notes after the update. You probably don't need immunobreak if it's an enfeebling spell that isn't resisted, though. Did you mean a separate spell? In that case, no -- the immunobreak of one spell isn't affected by landing a different spell.
Here are the update notes:
When an Immunobreak occurs after the enemy has resisted a particular enfeebling magic, the resistance of the enemy to that effect will decrease by a certain amount.
Immunobreaks can stack and continually lower an enemy's resistance.
The more times the enfeebling magic is resisted, the greater the likelihood that an Immunobreak will occur.
When the enfeebling effect is successfully applied, the resistance will reset.
If the effect is continuously applied, the enemy will slowly gain more resistance, and eventually Immunobreaks will no longer occur.
Note that some monsters have complete resistance to enfeebling effects.
(Immunobreaks will not occur on enemies which have complete resistance.)
Immunobreaks only apply to enfeebling effects (magic abilities based on Enfeebling Magic skill level).
How hard is Dawon? Got a couple Grey Abyssites while doing Empys. Can DD+WHM kill him fairly easily?
What effects steal success rate besides steal +?
Feint has seemed to help for me
Sacrifices to the RNG god.
Probably not unless the DD has a way to damage him during perfect dodge (spells, ranged) - he spams the hell out of it and claw cyclone, which is a hate reset.
If you're looking for complete lowman, supposedly pld/dnc can solo w/ ochain - just invite a thf at low% to tag it, or have them in but inactive so hate reset doesn't get them killed early.
