I personally checked that spharai is 12% proc on the first hit on a parse on brick walls assault with several thousands of attack rounds.

So my Marksmanship is horrible - about 320ish. Any good way to speed up skilling up?
low delay weapon + cheap ammo + regen atmas + melo melo + shooting script + afk watch tv
+ dying in 2 minutes and getting no skill. Melo's poison is far too strong to afk attack him.
Boulder Eaters (lv.100-105 worms) in Gustav Tunnel are amazing for skillups from 330 to the cap, so instead of going to Abyssea I suggest going there.
for COR; get an Awilda's Gun + Cheapest Bullets (Bronze Bullets or Bullets from NPC)
for RNG; get a Repeating Crossbow + Cheapest Bolts (Sleep Bolts?)
stand optimal distance away, sub /DNC & Waltz off their damage, Use Double Shot/Barrage/Velocity Shot (if RNG) or Triple Shot/Tactician's Roll/Courser's Roll (if COR) whenever they are off cooldown, and just shoot a lot.
It's harder to script it so that you can afkskillup, but it's really quick regardless. I'm pretty sure I got from 330 to 398 Marksmanship (COR's cap) by killing only 3-4 Boulder Eaters.
vvv I stand corrected then!
Hitting stoneskin will grant skillups.
Is there anywhere that I can find how much HP Legion mobs have?
I just got mine from 340~ to 400~ last night. I had a bunch of bloody bolts (had crafted forever ago) and went to Garlaige for the DC Beetles in the basement. Martial Master was in effect and I used Fluid Crossbow. Cheap ammo like Crossbow Bolts work too but you'll prolly need a healer. I was solo and /DNC.
I ran across montagnas today, how much do they increase skill gain?
Edit: is there a cap on the crit damage increase from tantra body +2?
Yuly resists wind, Falcorr resists light, Slug resists water, I presume Funguar resists dark, but is there a more comprehensive list of pet resistances that I can exploit? Mostly just pondering a lazy BST's choice for Suzaku when I have a THF along for TH...
Not that I know of. Sadly jug pet info is extremely limited. However once I finish a couple other things I'm pushing thru I plan on making some kinda comprehensive thread about jug pets as it is clearly lacking. That said iirc the lizard resist fire but that's from what I've heard haven't tested it yet. I have tested Briny and wormy broth both give natural 25% mdt on top of the -dt from stout servant. Only 2 that did of the ones that we've gotten since they raised the lvl cap. Haven't been able to test MDB yet because that shit is annoying.
Anyone else having weird issues with the ah? Like it just not updating stuff right. Such as hours after you bought something it still showing as being up for sale and no associated sales history? But other ones have been bought after and those are up
I already asked this some time ago but I'm looking for even further opinions.
I'm reworking my lolDNC merits, taking out 5/5 Closed Position which, I feel, is not needed anymore for the kind of content I normally do.
Gonna get 5/5 Saber, but I still have 1 point left to assign and I'm wondering if it would be best to assign it to No Foot Rise (bringing it to 4/5) or to Fan Dance (bringing it to 2/5)
Tbh I rarely use Fan Dance, maybe in Dynamis when I accidentally get unwanted links (which happen more often than I'd like to...). I suppose that, on one hand, 5% less recast could be useful, but on the other hand the problem there would be the amount of TP rather than the recast. Honestly with Anwig Salade I don't really feel I have huge issues with recast timers when using Waltz III.
So, I'm particularly leaning towards NoFootRise 4/5, which was already suggested anyway. My only doubt is about the fact that most of the times that 4th finishing move would go to waste. 3/5 just stacks too well with a maneuver.
Only situation where it would be really useful is for example after zoning, in-between fights and stuff like that.
Further opinions on this?
I know its old content, but does anyone have a good strategy for lowman KS99 - The Hills Are Alive?
My friend and I only need the egg for BB, we're looking to get it as cheaply and easily as possible.
Yeah they mostly seem to carry their family traits, like Hippogryphs resist light, Ladybugs Wind, etc. Never known lizards to be explicitly fire resistant though. Coeurl should be at least lightning resistant if not immune like their family.
When in doubt, slug it.
Edit: Nvm, awful idea. Fire weak on a Fire based Chainspeller... had to burn a few Mulsums just to get through it XD
I've always found NFR to be the must useful of all the DNC T2 merits, since it allows you to gain steps at any time, which can then be RF'd for TP. As my DNC is mainly used in Dynamis, either my sj is locked or I'm /WAR, so having an ability that lets me get TP at any time is quite useful.
As far as it concerns me that's absolutely not under discussion. NFR is awesome and I would never dare skipping it.
Point was more about getting it 3/5 or 4/5 :D
I might go for 4/5 for the lack of better options, in the end, but most of the times that additional maneuver will just go to waste. Altough I still see some use of course, especially if paired with AF2+2 body.
Out of curiosity. When you don't lock your subjob, wouldn't you be better off with /THF instead of /WAR while solofarming dyna? Unless, of course, you're not solo :D
