There is so much wrong with that post that I don't really know how to address it properly (What does a mythic have to do with anything? They range anywhere from significantly better to disappointingly worse. Not to mention that if you have the means to make a mythic, a relic isn't going to really detract from the process unless you're talking about years of collecting).

From what I know mathematically combined with what I've used or have:

Spharai (I probably have a bit of a bias here because I play Monk the most)/Ragnarok/Mandau/Annihilator are good. Amanomurakumo and Bravura will also be best in some situations. I can't really speak on Kikoku/Guttler/Gungnir. Excalibur is fun but underwhelming, so is Apocalypse. If you plan to be using a relic, you should generally have the appropriate merit WS, of course.

It seems counter-productive to tell someone else what they should be making, though. Make what you like, just be aware of when you should be using it and where something else might be more pertinent.

I was thinking about spharai, gk, or bow (I hate guns with a passion for some reason) so out of the 4 (polearm, gk, h2h, bow) which would have the biggest impact on the job? Bow would be used mainly on Sam but I would lvl rng at one point.

So let me break this question down:
You're asking for a suggestion on what relic to make. Your only two jobs at 99 that you mentioned are thf and nin, which suggests you're hinting at Mandau or Kikoku. However you shot down Mandau since you only use thief to farm, and you have a Kannagi so you ruled out Kikoku.

The weather forecast page on FFXI Bazaar is great for this sort of thing, especially for the patterns.

Wind weather is frequent in Wajaom/Bhaflau/Aydeewa in the summer months. While wind weather happens a fair bit in Vunkerl (S), thunder weather is dominant. (Although now is a good season for Vunkerl (S) wind weather apparently Rolanberry Fields has Water and Fire weather..)

The next best place for wind weather to get vermin is the Maze of Shakhrami from spring to fall. There are new high-level Crawlers there called Crypterpillars, while not superb because of their level, being able to fight in wind weather is better than sitting around hoping.

I enjoyed the stories, not sure if much of it is worth it beyond that. (Well, there are a few pieces of RDM AF+1 that I still use and BLU hands are a nice placebo if nothing else, but those are in your exception group.)

BLU body +1 is still best in slot for anything requiring skill/physical spells, no?

THF I don't think is very useful, except feet if you want +15 seconds on flee. DNC, get the hat for samba duration, probably get the body for 10 waltz potency if you ever use waltzes. Don't remember any others.

I did lots of vermin + wind weather in attohwa chasm, on the way to Tiamat... where Sargas(Serges? that NM Scorpion) hangs out, there's like 5 flies, 4 scorpions, 2 antlions to the left, and like 4 to the north (abit further, but they all die so fast, you might need to kill them while waiting for respawn) wind weather was more common than Vunkerl_S, it's in the same region as Buburimu/Maze of Sha-whatitsfaces.

That woulda been pretty good too, I'll have to go post these locations in the magian location thread later. Currently doing Morbols in Wind Weather, in Vunkerl, there's only ~5 Demonic Roses though.

Edit: But as for the Weather in Wajaom question, is it limited to a specific season? Guessing Spring/Summer, haven't seen it in days.

THF hands for TA, feet for flee enhancement.
RNG hands for +1 barrage +10 seconds to shadowbind.
NIN feet for the dusk to dawn +25% movement speed.

Only ones I could think of, that haven't been ecliped by new gear, and aren't a must, unless they are your fav jobs or something along those lines.

I nuked Chigoes for my weather kills. Prob doesnt apply to weapon kills though so ymmv
