i feel kinda silly asking this, but looking around the various ffxi sites i'm coming across some variations on Zipacnas respawn time. always went with 2-4 hrs back when sky was all the rage, finding 3-4 hrs and 4-6 hrs after a quick search. i've seen him spawn just under 4 hrs after TOD a few times in the last week, anyone have a better idea of the exact window?

Floor has a book near the gate in the middle of the map. Also I'm unsure if level 5 is high enough to get exp off pots, lowest I ever did was 7.

So i just leveled nin in the aby, Wiki has crap and I hate SE's forums so asking here. Are there posts anywhere with sorta what gear sets I should aim for on nin? Is haste cap still what I want when casting utsuemi(or is full af3+2 with extra shadow better)

Im working on getting all my skills capped and what not.

So in closing I no shit about nin in this day and age, sub jobs gear sets/whatever any help would be great.

If I go cruor burn with just me and a mule (BRD?+DD), what's a rough estimate how much curor would I be looking at per hour for a single character? Trying to figure out if it's worthwhile for me to put in the effort. I can log in a third character to just get cruor, but I suck at actually triboxing.

You'd do alot better with a 2nd dd so you wouldn't have to run between mob groups... though I suppose using the brd to pull would work. It wouldn't be that great though I'd imagine

I was thinking of doing Bats/Colibri in Mis - both have Eph pops and the bat NM in the groups - and using the BRD to pull and sleep a mob on the DD. I could do 1 buff/pop chest and go pull again, then repeat. I'm not sure honestly how long it takes to kill mobs to know if that's too slow to get set up for another mob.

How would you suggest doing it with 2 DD?

You have an over 70% chance to win at least 2x your money back... Maybe someone's bad at math and you should take advantage of them... Trade them 100k and see if they run off with it. Because, really, it's only 100k. If they run off with it, you lost ~1HMP worth of gil. If they're legit, take them for all the money they have.

Ffxiah's forums are usually a good place to look for gear advice. There's a topic for melee, blade: hi, shun, and jin, and there are good gearsets posted.
You want as much haste (cap) and fast cast as you can get for Utsesumi. You don't need to equip the full set for the extra shadow, only the boots. They need to be equipped at the end of the cast.

I have no idea what to use for neck/waist for smite. Just put those in as placeholders. In terms of non rare/ex stuff to get, I only need to get some +2's and Thaumas Hat. Hat is next on my list now that Phorcys Set is finished for my Apoc.

Between 2008-2010 when before they raised the level cap, I was taking a break from the game. I remember reading forums and someone mentioned they changed the animation for Jump/High Jump that when they crit they gave a different effect. I think they described the animation to be the same as what's now Spirit/Soul Jump(different color sparkles,different hit spark color) and mind you this was before the new jumps were added. I haven't used vanilla Jumps really in a long time even after coming back to the game but is this still the case? Was doing a few jumps the other day when my Wyvern died during Legion and didn't really ever notice an alternate animation, perhaps they removed the alternate animations when they introduced the new style jumps?
