Vw and abyssea only offer wyvern scales. I parsed all my logs for dragon scales, and the only time i got any, and npced, was from Ks99 or fafhogg

Subtle Blow question. The +20 you get from Auspice off WHM +2 feet make a noticeable difference? Would be used on my BLU which is typically a TP feeding machine to start.

Yeah I fear many people npc them... they going for like 30k here and generally sell within minutes of going up unless someone is trying to double the price in 1 go

Isn't it ironic that the "anti-botting" changes actually made it better for botters and worse for normal fisherman... it was almost like they were yelling at us to get up and bot lol

Not sure if they ever changed chocobo digging, but it used to take forever to skill up. Might be worth noting if you're considering it.

PUP can solo Dragua, but with the master, not the automaton (PUP isn't BST, very few solos are better off only letting the puppet engage)

Of course, PUP solo implies master DD, automaton WHM 90% of the time. I don't think anyone refers to only the automaton fighting unless explicitly stated.

Is it feasible for any job to solo Orthrus/Dragua for Empyrean items? I was thinking Ochain, PUP, SMN, or BLU, but I'm not sure if they can kill them/if it would take absolutely forever

I finished my Vere90 by soloing half of the scales using BST. I used Falcorr with RR, DG and Earth Wyrm atmas. Mulsum is not needed but bring some if you try to solo it for the first time. Used about 3-stacks of Pet Food Zeta per fight. Let the pet engages from maximum melee distance so that you can /sic without being hit by AoE moves from Dragua. The pettp plugin helps a lot as you do no need to spam <pettp> macro. Be warned though, this is a boring 1-hour fight (about 45 mins if you use Familiar with relic pants+2).

takes approximately 2 years digging every day to cap to cap out digging, you're looking around 1 year to get to a skill level you can dig them up. it has a 200 item/day cap much like fishing does, thanks to RMT back in the day. Skills faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar slower than fishing, though. I dug there alot and probably only got 1-3 scales ever. it's a rare result.

If I go cruor burn with just me and a mule (BRD?+DD), what's a rough estimate how much curor would I be looking at per hour for a single character? Trying to figure out if it's worthwhile for me to put in the effort. I can log in a third character to just get cruor, but I suck at actually triboxing.

probably not worth it: you have to take the time to build lights ( red>silver>blue). After that you need to build up the cruor chains, which bluild up very slowly. Ebon lights will enhance cruor yield by tiny amounts too... Also the mobs dont give the same amount. typically if you do misareaux on colibris + bats you'll get ~400 on bats and ~500 on colibris relatively fast ( or the converse), after that it will build up very slowly. with 2 DD with their 2 healers, one DD killing the same type of mob, we were doing at best 200k cruors in an our, per char, which is honest when you start abyssea and farm cruor for the abyisstes KI.

Someone on an earlier page was talking about valoredge, so yeah

If you notice in the video the PUP is wearing pink and using a crappy weapon, so it goes a lot faster with better gear/atmas (not sure what atmas are used in the video)
Still faster than a BST could ever kill it though

I'd use RR, FF, Apoc, and rotate light/water/dark on the automaton with Mana Jammer I, II and Steam Jacket. I don't know if going /NIN would be worth it, with so many -agas, but I guess that at least the first time I'd use it, to be safe.
