Thanks for checking, I forgot abyssites can enhance that as well. But I looked around and found Atma of the Royal Lineage that increases crour yield by 20%

I'm...not really sure Royal Lineage does anything useful. I know it doesn't increase caps on cruor while cruor chaining and I'm pretty sure it doesn't break the cap while just XP chaining either.
Probably just gives you 20% more while leading up to the cap, which becomes irrelevant once you cap silver.
Interesting, has this been tested? If this is indeed the case, you will get more cruor on the kills leading up to the cap, since it will in essence take less kills to cap, but by the way it's worded, this makes it seem like you get 20% more at any time.
Would be easy to confirm. Join a worm party, hang out for an hour until you get capped cruor, then switch to royal lineage.
Friend wants to play FFXI again. His account is alive and kicking (I'm using it atm) but he doesn't have the original install discs.
I seem to remember there was a thread with torrent links here, but I can't find anymore.
Maybe it was stuff bound to megaupload which got purged when they brought it down.
Can someone suggest me a way my friend can easily download an install pack?
Oh I know that, I actually bought it (for 16$, special offer) because I wanted destrier beret. But he just wants to play a few weeks with his old char (which I'm using as my mule atm). He just wanted to download the install file from somewhere. My connection is too slow upstream or I'd just send him myself.
Whenever I use royal lineage I get a little bit more then everyone else... but not worth it on DDs due to loss of kill speed
Yeah, was most definitely thinking of it on a mule or healing.
That or an xp alliance where one atma on one DD is not going to matter for overall throughput no matter how hard you ride
I have a "Killer Effects" Question. From what I understand this gives you a slight damage bonus and damage taken bonus when used correctly. Does this kick in at any time while fighting the correct monster type, or only when you the one with the effect are being directly targeted? I guess the real question is if I 5 this on BST but my pet is doing most of the tanking, will my "Killer Effects" intimidate what we are fighting?
For intimidation it's whoever is being targeted. If there's a damage bonus you don't need to be the target.
Relevant information:
Killer effects from job traits and gear do not give damage bonuses, you need to wear Ferine Gausape to get a damage bonus from them.
Your pets (and almost all mobs) will have their own killer effects based on monster correlation. So if you charm a crab (Aquan) it would intimidate a worm (Amorph) and be intimidated by ravens (Avian). These killer effects do have an attached damage bonus.
You can apply party-wide Killer effects with Circle JAs and the Killer Instinct BST Cat. 2 merit. These all, too, have associated damage bonuses.
Ok so if I won't be tanking / targeted by the monsters, it is not worth burning the merits on this because they wont even kick in. Just what ever monster vs monster correlation intimidates will go off.
Sounds like mdk is once again talking about something he's never done. Oops.
That said, dual boxing for cruor isn't worth it.
Spending merits on Killer Effects will increase the damage bonus you get while wearing Ferine Gausape +2 so it's not bad.
Well it will up your dmg and also lower dmg taken from say AOEs and such wether you wear the body or not. On top of that it will do so even more when combined with af3 body.
