How easy are the Prime Avatars now? Just unlocked Summoner for shits and giggles, wondering if they're a total joke or what?

Temp feet/body for my nin as I farm my iga feet(20 hours farming still nothing to show for it). Also need to get around to doing limbus, Looking at mid next week till I have the body ; if drops are on my side that is.
Till then anything I could farm/buy really fast that work decently?
Summoner is still level 1. LS mate logged on so she's tagging along for the handful of forks I got this morning.
They were a joke at 75; they ought to be dead inside five minutes if your DD job has a weapon with base damage higher than 1.
Probably Xsaeta I, dunno about atmas
Nope. I've heard it's a directx problem and not really an issue with ffxi. It sucks balls is all I know.
I dot-kite solo'd them back at 75 as sch.
could probably melee them to death now
Are there any super comprehensive guides to the various jobs? Like the BLU one on FFXIAH. I just like reading those really in depth guides by people who actually know what they're talking about and cover tons of situations.
The ones I know are outdated right now (apart from Prothescar's BLU one that you mention). Which is a pity, because for example Jinte's PUP guide in alla was amazing when I first read it, in... 2009 or so. Maybe now that we've been at 99 for a while, the game will settle down enough to allow for such guides to reappear.
If you have dagger, even Viper Bite works.
How do abyssea trash mob levels work? I was under the impression they respawn at higher levels as they're killed, but the opposite seems to be happening... I afk skill up on grauberg crabs all the time, and they're normally DC-EM with a couple of other people doing the same, but some group showed up and started cleaving them like an hour ago, and they've been 100% EP since. What's the deal?
When you kill a claimed monster it will respawn at a higher level the next time it respawned. If they despawn (due to not having been killed), they will level down again. Killing unclaimed monsters does not level them up and may have the same effect as despawning.
They were blu cleaving so that would explain it.
fresh new poster here.
i have some questions about overdrive for pup. the bgwiki says it boosts the power of attachments to the power that they would have if you had 3 maneuvers up, but this is clearly not true for some attachments. i tested overdrive with drum magazine - 3 maneuvers normally starts the puppet shooting at about a shot/3sec, but with overdrive+1wind maneuver it's obviously not a shot/3sec. eyeballing, eyeballing, yadda yadda.
the bgwiki article talks about attuner/turbocharger/target marker being the best combination, so i assume those work. (can pups confirm/point me in the direction of some test results?)
my main question is, does some extreme pup have a list of the attachments that work in this way?
also, does optic fiber boost attachment power beyond it's "cap" (the amount you'd get from 3 maneuvers, or, if overdrive really does work like this, overdrive+1 maneuver?)
if i'm posting in the wrong place, kindly flame my sorry ass.
thanks for any info you can provide.
Poor T![]()
Long story short, bgwiki is incorrect.
Overdrive does two things: stops overload from happening when active, so you can spam maneuvers without fear during that minute (but burden still accumulates, so you have to be ultra careful after overload if you spammed) and increases the parameters of the automaton, giving it more attack, probably accuracy but I don't know, more resilence (don't know if in the form of -DT or just plain defense) and some haste (I think it was... 10 or 15%? I'd have to check).
In any case, no, it doesn't make single maneuvers get the potency of three (I wish...)
