Anyone know why FFXI Util randomly ate 80 GB for a log.txt file while I was away?

Something something, Aureus says it's possible if you turned on trace logging for everything you do and never turn it back off. The default log should never get that big.
Do you need 9 feathers to enter NQ Odin? Or do you need just 3 and everyone else needs just 1 from each tier?
There are a metric fuck ton of BLU spells, and I really don't want to waste my time farming spells I will never use. Does anyone have a list that I can reference of what spells I can skip and what spells I will need?
I'd love to farm up a BST jacket from dyna-beauc or dyna-tav but I would also like to make a few gil in the process. I have never farmed these zones for gil, so as solo bst what's my best strategy for both farming a body and also gathering some currency?
Look on BG wiki where the TE's are, simply Jig to all of them, get all your TE's and then find out what mobs can be procc'd by JA's, and only fight them. IIRC; Monks, Rangers, Thief, Beastmasters and NINs. Typically CoP is a better zone to farm, but stay on those paths and procc mostly those and you'll have a decent haul/
is there a way to know if you have capped tonberry hate for the collar?
BST jacket is Bubu or Bastok. Beauc is Feet, Tav is hands.
Bubu: camp anywhere a NM spawns. Preferably not Quads or Orcs because those pulls are nightmares. (Orcs are ballsuck clusterfucks waiting to happen, Quads link by sound) My personal spot (when I farmed my DRK hands to +2 them) was either at goblins near the DRK NM spawn, or further north near the efts. There are 2-4/5 MNK, THF, and RNG mobs there for easy JA proc. Alternatively, you could kill Woodnix Shrillwhistle (I know this by heart because he's a cockblock). He spawns near the cliff of goblins and frequently screws with my TE pulls. I don't know how long his respawn is, but when I killed the DRK NM for gloves, it alternated spawns. NM > PH > NM > PH > NM > PH with each pop. Took me 6 kills to get DRK hands but I went 1/1 on many others from links throughout my months of farming. IMO, farm the NM. PH is a pathfinder.
Bastok: Camp behind the AH, there are a few THFs walking the path behind it, a BST at the end of the path (towards the bastok markets zone BEWARE: SCORP CASTS BREAKGA), DRK NM in with the THFs behind the AH, and a few more JA/WS proc mobs in the larger opening to the east heading back towards the MH. Camp in/near pathway. It is generally (95%. I expect 1-2 links per run at most) safe.
Beauc: never farmed but I see people at Orcs across from Velosareon, oceanside. Another camp is goblins, NE corner of H-8. There are some JA proc Hydra mobs on the other side of the ramp, and a NM Goblin RNG in along with the goblins. This is all from just looking, as the only times I have done beauc are for attestations.
Tav: never done neo-tav, can't give you any advice, sorry
Anytime. For Feet, if you see a shout for relic trials or something like that, jump in with them and request BST feet. They drop pretty frequently (I'm doing my Velosareonx5 trial now, we got 3 BST and a TON of other AF to drop too). Otherwise, try out those solo locations I said but as stated I don't have -any- experience soloing there as I stick to CoP zones for my currency farming.
Setting up gearswaps for Kaustra and just wanting to confirm a couple things:
1. Is it like Drain/Aspir in that MAB does nothing for it?
2. Is it like helix spells in that I don't need to equip an obi to get day/weather procs?
3. Is dINT really weighted at 10:1 vs Dark Skill like the bg wiki says or am I reading the formula wrong?
According to the XML,
dINT=111 MAB=0 :732DMG
dINT=111 MAB=7 :783DMG
MAB affects the damage
Whoever did that testing needs some credit btw (Arcon/Naliee)
As for dINT v Dark Skill, they do different stuff. Dark skill increases duration but dINT increases the initial damage.
Theorycrafting making a GS for Rune Fencer, would it theoretically even be worthwhile to make a Caladbolg if I only got the 90 version (what with higher DMG available and Resolution around)? What about an OAT one?
OAT is the safer option if you're looking for a GS for RUN.
Is it possible for the game to not round quite the same everytime? I ask because I've been eating a whole bunch of discords for fun lately and occasionally one of the characters will take 1-2 points dmg less. No mdt shell phalanx stoneskin etc on any of them
Do higher level dynamis mobs have better currency drop rates?
EDIT: Soloing as a NIN/DNC, should I be targeting higher level mobs?
Your question is rather vague. What do you plan on doing with your BLU? If all you're planning is Abyssea Whisker burning, you can get by with like, 10 spells... if you want to melee, you need a lot more to set the applicable passive traits... and if you want to be a crazy solo god like Draylo, you're going to find a use for most of them at one point or another.
