How strong is astral flow? I know Mijin from mildy does very little damage, but Astral Flow from nq dyna mobs will still hit me for 2500.


For difficulty, not hard. Did a run to 90 my Apoc a few days ago. Needed 2 more velo. NIN DRK RNG. Killed velo twice, and gun nm twice as well. (rng had 85 gun) with no problems aside from Velo oneshotting my dumb ass with EES while I had LR up. (2234 damage to me)

Astral is my main concern Blu can keeP it sleep np but dunno id it's like normal smn and has up entire time or if it is like Kirin and just pops it for astral flow and release

Haven't seen any. It should be easy to see, though, shouldn't it (as long as your alliance members are honest)? I'm pretty sure Karbuncle already knows this, but for anyone who doesn't: I remember seeing a post by someone who had fought thousands of spiders outside Aht Urghan with and without a thief's knife equipped. His conclusion was that each point of treasure hunter +1 gave an additional 1% drop rate (this may no longer be the leading theory, but at the time it was pretty convincing). I'm not sure how base treasure hunter works, and I don't know that it's safe to say it's the same as the +1 gear.
Add the bonus from treasure hunter gear onto the assumed 1% drop rate of bodies (that figure fits my experiences, anyway), and you should see a 5% drop rate, not including base treasure hunter (since I don't know how it works) which should be very noticeable compared to a 1% drop rate. Each fight you do counts as 18 data points if you can get an honest report. Six fights is 108 points of data, so if you do a few of those each day you'd have a very convincing data set after a pretty short time.
I think this is worth looking into, since a 5% rate is huge compared to what we've got now.

Perhaps a better question for What's Better, but what are decent nuking rings for RDM? At the moment I'm using two Snow rings. I have a Demon's ring with MAB+3 on it; is that worth using? Are Icesoul rings worth buying?

A lot. MNK has over PUP more damage, more attack, more accuracy, less delay, kick attacks, Impetus. Could be somewhat quantified using Motenten's spreadsheets, but it's going to be a significant amount.

I was under the impression that TH only effected drops that came directly from the mob, and not from chests.

I want to say that as long as you're in exp range you should be fine. But I've never tested that aspect, so proceed with caution.
