Just returning after a long break, and I'm totally lost on current WAR builds, what should I try to focus on (assuming mostly low-man or pick-up as options, my playtime is limited, but I do have NIN to solo stuff).

I have Ukon (almost 90, just need a few more Claws), and my old TP set was: (All AF3 is +2)

I forgot to tinker with your WS set. Aug'd Heca+1 hands are best in slot for Ukko's still, I believe. I'm not completely sure what people are using for legs these days but I've been using Aug'd Byakko's Haidate.

Shits so situational with War, so many different sets, but in general from whats listed there, I'd switch Blitz Ring to Oneirous, and Ninurtas Sash to Phos Belt for TP, get Avant+1 or Phorcys Hands for Restraint down(I think even Ogiers can be worked in somewhere).

For WS I'd switch neck to Ele Gorget, Earring to TP Bonus Moonshade, Body to Phorcys, back to Rancorous, waist to Windbuffet, and for Legs I can't remember the order, but Ogiers, Heca+1 Augmented and Avant+1 are up there.

I think just the 2 bst could do it but it would be slow or maybe a whm + bst idk smn might be better than bst for this for weird hate reasons I will describe. I tried soloing it the other day on bst. Problems I ran into is once it started using holy 2 if I had gotten any hate on it (even if I had snarled it away) and was in range it would always target me for around 700 dmg. Which meant basically running in for a couple hits and running out.

Then once it got down to last stage hate started getting really weird. Like my pet would be capped with me having hardly any hate and all of a sudden my pet would lose hate and it would start attacking me so I'd snarl it would go back to pet then quickly back to me. I'd snarl again and run out of range and it would draw me in and kill me. However just like holy 2 I could I could avoid that if I hadn't taken any direct actions vs ultima ie only pet commands.

Now when I could melee and stuff it went down fast. When I couldn't was slow as nails and had hard time keeping pet alive at times until I remembered to use my full pet set lol. But yeah given that might be better to smn it up. Or just use a real tank since you got whm

What're some of the better options for Victory Smite in the spots Thaumus wins out? I don't have any real issue making gil for AH items, but I don't see me being able to do Neo-Nyzul for quite some time due to LS being empty, lack of interest on Shiva, etc...

Also, TP options better than full tantra, but not Thaumus?

I've personally soloed it on BLU and I have seen videos of a DNC and RDM soloing it, any DD + WHM should be fine at this point.

Probably don't have to, just save sacrosanctity for it. When I did the solo it never was able to get it off but I'm sure with Shell V + -mdt set you should be fine. Antimatter hurts also, but again Shell V + Lv99 should be fine.

Yeah maybe people but when it was just me and my pet if I had taken any actions on it and was in range it was me 100% of the time. Ate quite a few before my tp ran out from non stop watlz 3s lol


Also you could always try stunning citadel if magic shield isn't up
