Short answer is that you kind of need to confuse windower to get it to pick up the Test Server version of POL.

Ok how about with just normal windowed mode then? I have windowed mode selected thru the setup but it still tries to full screen then errors or some shit

I've seen the test server button come up sometimes when I accidentally open two POL instances and quickly close one, along with one or two other occurrences, but I haven't attempted to reproduce this result consistently for any of them as I use the method you listed to access the test server.

They undid that update and have yet to get around to fixing the problems it incurred to pad users so we can get our instant-macrobar back.

So you're saying ctrl/alt are back to being as laggy as they were, and they broke pad macros the same way to boot? Or do you mean they reverted the change so that pad went back to having the instant macro bar?

I was actually interested in being able to map 360 triggers to ctrl/alt via joy2key/xpadder/whatever and avoid having to deal with XBCD.

Leveling up my baby COR. Now with Chatoyant, would I use that for TP, or still a Vulcan's? Little confuzzled now.

Also, what are the rolls that people use/request the most in Aby/VW situations? Want to try to start streamlining my macros.

Assuming Wildfire, Chatoyant is better, if you're using Last Stand, there are better options than vulcan's.

Chaos/Miser/Tact/Fighter mostly. Wizard/Evoker/Caster if in a mage party. Occasionally (Very) PLD, BLU, Hunter, SAM. Bolter's for movement.

I just did a test with a method that might work a bit better. Open a vanilla POL window. Open Windower GUI, as SOON as you click "Launch" on the Windower, click back on the vanilla copy of POL. The windowed version should pop under it, and when you log in through it, the Test Server button should appear.

Any tips for testing debuffs via limules? Like do empherals transfer debuffs more or something? Or would gnats be better?

It needs to be a light limule. Try La Theine by Ovni, the sheep/rams, or the tigers.
