init is just a file it runs on startup. I'm guessing make a 2nd init, call it init2.txt and whenever you launch the 2nd character do /console exec init2.txt

I use two different windower folders on my desktop, with two difference launch shortcuts. Some char I like fullscreen, others not, so I like this because it lets me set up different resolutions.

HOWEVER, it sets your path that way too, which means if you change one spellcast, you gotta save it in the other folder...or a skillup.txt, or a chatmon setting....etc.

It's probably not for everybody, but it works for me.

I just asked in the augmented thread, but where do you augment staves? Specifically, there is a screenshot of the new staff with MAB +2...where is the MAB augment, how do I do it? Something about valley of sorrows or something?

I am almost positive the zone doesn't matter, as the quality of augments is based entirely on the level of item you give it (eg. a level 10 item is not going to get +4 INT, but a level 70 item could). Beyond that, the augments are all random. So pick a zone that will accept the level of item you give it.

Folks drooled over the incredibly rare staff augments many years ago when they first came out. Then after spending millions upon millions buying up and tossing pluto's staffs and aquilo's hoping for dark skill, ele skill, mab, and int everyone gave up because the system was so random. With that being said, I wish you the best of luck, but wanted to let you know what you are getting yourself into.

found something that loads different plugins for you based on which character logs. If you wanted different resolution settings, I'm not sure.

This is a good point, too. Unless you're doing this as a career BLU or COR, I would say that your effort is better spent doing trials for the elements you use most. I did some crude estimates last night, and the Magians still win by a good margin, plus you get the cool cast time modifier with it.

Best Axe unless you can keep AM3 up on the Mythic. 95 gets you the enhanced OD2.5 so upgrading to 99 just nets you the extra att and base damage.

I'm not using Tenuto or anything like that.

As an example, I'll cast Victory March and Advancing March on the melee. Walk towards the mages out of range of melee, cast Mage's Ballad III and II. I'll notice that sometimes the 2nd song icon will still be a march for myself, and even the mages will report that they have 1 ballad and 1 march if all 4 songs hit them.

My gear is nothing special. The instrument being used was an 80 and 85 Gjallarhorn.

What is going on?

What is going on?

New songs have to have a duration that's greater than or equal to the remaining duration on the songs you have active to overwrite. If the March that's currently active on you has 2:30 left on it, a Ballad with only 2:20 duration will not overwrite it.

Let's say I have a char and 3 mules when I reactivate my FFXI account. So are they charging 4$ (for "new option" or whatever I read) + 17$ or just simply 17$ when I hit renew? This is with debit card.

Well with enough affinity atmas and weather chat wins as is. Even a small amount like you get from vw it gets pretty close to the point where a few mab could actually put them equal in dmg but higher macc.
