I've solo'd it on PLD. If you can avoid the pets I doubt you'll have any issue at all on DRG. I hate fighting it without TH though. Of my 3 solos I got 1 blob.

Thanks for the quick responses. Yeah i assumed no TH would most likely suck.

The issue isnt that my lsmates arent high enough level or well geared enough to help, just that we are in a holding pattern while we gear the newbs/returnees up more betterer.


Getting one of our thfs to join me shouldnt be too hard. Ill prob try it solo dolo anyway just for the lulz

Kinda depends on what you do. For T1 some mixture of sic reward and call beast recast. For really hard solo's you'd want both call beast and reward but if you don't really need it it's quite usually to only do 1 of those and put into sic instead. T2 is definitely beast healer since that's basically saving you money and most the T2 sucks. Some like to say feral howl is awesome... I just can't see any situations on bst where an extra stun would be all that useful but only needed once every 5 minutes... on the other hand unless you really want to use certain pets beast affinity is worthless and killer instinct while rediculously awesome when it works has reduced effectiveness on most nms and doesn't work at all on nightmare mobs

Easiest way to level up mandies in Abyssea? Spent like 20 minutes FCing them to get them higher level to skillup faster with no luck. They did level up, but remained EP. Need 20~ more GSD skill before I gain access to resolution.

Single target kill them. Only the monster that you target when you WS levels up.

If you wipe out the entire population with single target kills ~3 times, they should start respawning as EMs.

iirc it starts beating out other stuff around 3-4 blms. Doesn't become super awesome till later. Though the no resist thing is nice

I'm nearing 65 on my new toon and I need 4 Kindred Seals to do the limit break 4 quest. I've been mostly xping off GoV P1 in crawlers so I'm not killing monsters of appropriate level.
I tried soloing hornflies and exorays in crawlers, but I only seemed to get Beastmen Seals off them.
So where should I go to farm them that would be level appropriate?

Talk to shami next to the guy you can get seals for orb, you can now exchange any seals for crests/seals. BC -> KS. KS -> KC etc.....

I heard of a video or something (didn't see it myself) of something like 11 JP BLMs casting meteor together and doing some pretty massive damage. Not sure how much truth there is to it but seems pretty feasible.

You can't take part in each other's casts cross-alliance, so it was actually 6- and a 5- BLM Meteor.

If I was in a 36 man Legion linkshell with any players I want and with the best gear they can have/Meteor, I might have a BLM party to cast this and nuke/Stun. BLMs don't have the damage output of a hasted melee, but they also don't take much support. 2 DD parties, 1 Tank/SCH party, 2 SMN+COR parties, 1 BLM party.

That's not reasonable at this point in the game though, I feel.
