I hope you aren't suggesting a hybrid Cure Cast Time/Cure Potency set. You use a Cure Cast Time set on precast and a Cure Potency set on the midcast and never mix them.

Anytime you have casttime <1second, you're going to run into equip swap errors if you swap an item out > back in for precast/midcast.

Cures are only 2.5 seconds base, and whm can certainly get at least 60% CCT/FC so yes, I do suggest that rather that set up for a few more skill, ensure your swaps between CCT/FC and Potency cover as few slots as possible.

Anyone know an effective way of aggroing Greater Amphiptere in Xarcabard [S]? I tried for an hour and only got one to aggro because it flew up to the ramp.

Question about the augmented Monster Gloves +2.
Says it enhances the level of our pet by 1 level per merit into Beast Affinity, so with 5/5 Beast Affinity it should be +5 levels.
How does this work exactely?

I guess it just makes Beast Affinity from +10 to +15, at 5/5 merits? Supposing I'm right, this means it has no effect at all on uncapped jugs like Yuly and Falcorr, and it still doesn't allow your pet to spawn a level higher than yours.

How do I remove the playonline music without causing it to freak out? I moved the bgms to another folder, which causes PoL to repeatedly ask me to insert the "playonline viewer tetra master disk" (what?) every time on start up. I assume I need to replace them with dummy files or something. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Where does Ukon stand on 5-hit builds these days? I know back at 90, it was widely agreed that you had to give up too much to get it to work, but it seems like now there are tons of STP options to fill in the gaps before and you can get it without sacrificing much at all.

Shinryu @99, how easy would he be to farm with a typical WHM + 5x DD group? Been wanting a Twilight Cloak for some time now for collection purposes, probably going to get some LS mates to help out since some people still needing mail/helm, and without having to abuse brews since it's waste of cruor with today's lvl-cap and gear.

Does Sudden Lunge work on it? Might make for easy zerg after blue proc + waiting on wings.


Also, for BLUs, how much Cure Pot/Received gear can they get? I'm trying to build a little set here for soloin purposes. Got Sanus Ensis (13%Pot, 10% Receive), Phalaina locket (4%Pot, 4% Receive), and Asklepian Ring (3% Receive).

He is soloable reliably by BLU so there should be no problem with 6 people. Although with 6 people you run into having to heal all of them with a single WHM, hate reset and healing him during ws/spell which can get annoying. If you aren't comfortable soloing you can also just do MNK + THF + WHM, which is my preferred setup for farming any of those items during blunt time. Sudden lunge doesn't work on him.

As for the cure potency, Ensis/Galenus (23% cure pot + 10% receive) locket 4%/4%, ring 3%, chelona blazer(+1) 5/6%, augmented ASA pants 5%, serp set 5%, anwig salade 3% (totaling 23% max cure pot/7% receive w/o swords, 46% cure pot/17% receive max with).

You can grind 10k xp in Tav pretty easily on DC bombs/leeches if you don't let the bombs use TP moves.

I wouldn't dare to solo those, wouldn't know how to handle links etc, would need at least a friend able to sleep adds etc. Leeches are fine, as long as you can erase the huge att down. Bombs are... uh... as long as you stun the explode thing u'll be allright I guess =/
But yeah, I guess they're probably better than doing normal mobs in Xarc, or Beauc
