If that gathering just happens to be all-white, it isn't.
If it's intentionally restricted to whites, it is.

An all-white (or all-black or all-asian or all-whatever) dating site, in my book, isn't racist.
Discriminating based on physical appearance is matters of sexuality and romance is something pretty much everyone does and no sane individual considers it controversial in the least.

But an all-white cult? Textbook racism: discriminating on skin colour in matters where skin colour has no direct or indirect (except that which is perceived by the racists themselves) impact.

Pretty sure anyone pulling out "master race" talk are racist. This goes for any culture that pulls out the "God's chosen people" rhetoric. It has certainly not been white-exclusive throughout history, but we're seeing a goodly bit of it from the ol' south lately.

I would mostly agree with this, as it's in line with my preferences, but I've met some very fine black girls that I would love to have. It's also got a lot to do with personality for me, but I don't make that generalization for ALL black girls, and I have the same prejudice toward certain sects of the white girl population. Blanket statements are lame and mostly just a cover for racism/laziness. I don't think most people who say "no black girls" actually mean it, I just think that it's like Hey said, in that when you're at 95% it's easier than saying "I only like this type of black girl". But then those same people will usually describe their preferential white girl, and when you make exceptions like that, there is some level of racism. We can try to be be, and should try to be, as pluralistic as we can be, but situations like this raise attention to racism that is socially and mentally deeper than most would like to admit. Yes, everyone is going to have preferences, but you should question everything. Do you think that's YOUR preference, or is it the ideal form of beauty that you've been taught to be attracted to? Nobody is expecting you to change your preference, but you should at least realize where your opinion of beauty was formed.

I mentioned the black dating site simply because if there was a white person only one, it'd be looked at as racist to the majority.
