yeah, that's the obvious better-than-the-original

shiro will hate me for this but I would also suggest Jeff Buckley's cover of Cohen's Hallelujah (in all fairness I never knew it was a cover, but the original rendition is just so very different, but has strengths of its own in that it has like a hundred verses)

Both have their merits. I like the Reznor/Bowie duet too... It's just a really well written song. Hard to fuck up as long as it's sung by the right people.

jeff buckley's cover of hallelujah (which is excellent) is basically a cover of john cale's cover (which is more excellent)
