Having an issue with multiple monitor, sound, and HDMI.

I have a new video card, got a second monitor, and I hooked my TV up as well for Netflix.

The problem is that to get sound and correct resolution on my TV through HDMI I had to set my onboard HDMI as the primary adapter and use my TV through that. It's working fine, but now everything opens on the TV while my wife and I are watching Netflix, etc.

When I have the TV plugged into the HDMI port on my video card the it won't feel up the entire screen on the TV and my only resolutions available are 800x600 and 1024x768. Using my onboard it goes from 480x320 up to 1920x1080.

How do I change it so that my video card can be set as my primary adapter but still have everything work right on my TV?

Motherboard is an ASRock Ext3 Gen3, video card is ATI 6850. All drivers have been reinstalled and are current.

You cant have onboard video and a video card working at the same time. Unless your ati card has an hdmi output you're S.o.L.

Right, so it does have an HDMI output. Like I said in the OP though, when I plug in my TV to that I don't have sound out of my TV and the video won't fill up the entire screen.

Set the monitors to extend desktops, should allow you to set individual resolutions for the TV and the monitor. As for the audio I've no clue as I dont have firsthand experience with hdmi vcards

ATI cards sometimes fuck up overscan on LCD monitors. Look for something related to overscan in Catalyst and set it to 0%. As for audio you'd have to set your default sound device to HDMI out using the system tray's sound thingy.
