I was aware of my lack of attraction for black women, and it bothered me until I chalked it up to facial features and so on, but this only eased my concern a little.

I later went to a dancehall jam, doing some extra hours, and I saw all the girls done up all fine and I think I realized that I just wasn't seeing an attractive selection of black women in the general population. I'm not talking hordes of make up or anything, but outfits that were really flattering or approaching scandalous (truthfully I preferred the flattering ones).

Unfortunately, by and large I am still generally not attracted, but I'm glad I had my horizons broadened, and deconstructed something I was concerned was indirect racism of sorts.
