There is a list on the right side of each item's page. You get different stuff depending on how much you donate.

The hardware in the Ouya is basically what a tablet or cell phone would have. Not power hungry - it wouldn't surprise me if it could run off of USB power, and in turn a generic mini/micro USB cell phone charger. No idea if that'd actually be the case, but I just don't see it needing anything more.

Well good luck to them and their attempt to succeed.

But personally it just feels like it would be full of crappy indie games that can't hold your interest and that look like shit in an attempt to pose as "retro".

Haven't seen in mentioned, but will this or could this function as a media player replacement, too? I saw it will have a lot of support for experimenting, but it would be pretty amazing if it also replaced something like a Roku or WDTV. I imagine the hardware's already there for the gaming performance?

We are designing the controller to be a love letter to console gaming. (...) We call it 'the Stradivarius of controllers,' and we hope developers will be inspired to take gameplay to a new level with it.

I'll pass. it's a nice concept, but i can't see it ever having anything more than simple indie games, or rereleases of olde games, which i could just as easily play on my pc.

What F2P game out there would be worth paying $99 to play knowing it's P2WIN???

I hate any/all F2P games based on that fact+they are usually sub-par to begin with. I am definitely not looking for a dedicated piece of first-gen hardware/software devoted to said games with no other purpose such as google TV.

I dunno man I think most of the reason why it's almost 4mil now is because people want to see a new console.

    ed: and now it's 4mil

you also have to realize that f2p in this case is based on the request of the ouya guys to have a part of the game free. doesn't mean there can't be any of those cash shop games tho.

suggested on their survey to have humblebundle and some of the kickstarter successes on release (new double fine adventure, wasteland 2, new shadowrun etc.). HB alone would be worth it.

Found an article that does sum up some issues. I'd love if it works out but yeah... skeptical.

It also doesn't mean the game will be f2p at all. Just having a demo would satisfy the requirement.

According to that article Ouya is now the most successful Kickstarter ever, which would sound about right looking at their total.

Now for them to followup and actually get a manufacturable version of their prototype and a completed controller on the production line, and *then* start sending units out to developers so they can decide if they want to contribute to further fragmenting of the Android marketplaces or not.

Okay the article I got that from was wrong. Apparently the most successful kickstarter was the Pebble smartwatch at over 10million.
