If you have ever played Ghost of Tsushima Legends then you know how hard it can be even with four players.
This is insane.
Ghost Of Tsushima Player Becomes First In The World To Beat The Game's Hardest Challenge Solohttps://www.thegamer.com/ghost-of-ts...letter_popup=1When Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends launched as a free update for owners of the base game in October 2020, it flew under the radar for most players. The co-op PvE game mode was truly impressive, but by then, most Tsushima players had moved on to other games.
Not Joey Alex Dominguez. A huge Ghost of Tsushima fan, Dominguez studied the blade for over a year, honing his skill until he was ready to take on Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends's hardest challenge: "Plat7," better known as "Hell Mode."
For the players that haven't stuck with Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends, the game's Survival Mode pits up to four players against waves of enemies, with a boss wave coming on every fifth wave. Each wave is progressively more difficult than the last, and you beat the mode after defeating 15 waves. There are five difficult levels capping off at Platinum, and there are also additional difficulty modifiers that can be enabled as well. Those modifiers make enemies more aggressive, powerful, and varied, while also handicapping the player.
So, "Plat7" is Platinum difficulty on Survival Mode with all seven modifiers enabled. This is the hardest Ghost of Tushima can ever get. It's also a challenge that normally should only be attempted by four coordinated veteran players. But just like Jin, Dominguez did it all alone.
It gets really intense at about 23:00.
Studied the blade - dude be playing video games.
He got gud. Props.
This game is kinda flying under the radar, as not much was known about it, but there's finally some previews:
One of the best game writers of all time, Chris Avellone was "cancelled" a few years ago due to a statement from 2 women.
Now this has come out. I for one am glad to see it, and looking through the history of his very detailed blog, seemed to be over a woman who was "scorned" by him. (really it was just a hookup situation)
I really hope he can get his foot back in the door. The fact that the 2 of them probably HAD to write a statement clearing him makes it the icing on the cake. "we were misinterpreted" go fuck yourselves, you knew exactly what you were doing.

Skies of Arcadia remaster rumors.
I've been meaning to play this game for about 2 decades now so hopefully it's true
Is the source even reliable? That's my concern, it's all from like a quick reference from a podcast host. (Note: I want it to happen, but just doesn't seem reliable)
I'll wait for the Grubb double confirmation.

Remake hype
Remaster sleep
The source -- Shpeshal Nick -- is utterly unreliable, which is why I didn't necro the 11 year old thread to report it.
Any successful game has a good chance to get remastered these days. It is a quick, near effortless cash for original developers, good chance for smaller studios to step up and grow themselves, more welcoming for players missed the original game and opportunity for fans to revisit the game. (ideally with annoying parts ironed out).
That is a win win win win. We are in the age of remakes (riskier, with higher rewards) and remasters.
I only wish it was effortless, with how many barebone ports remasters come out nowadays with bugs, crashes, fucked up visuals (both old or AI-upscaled 'new'), or issues the original game never had.
Yeah no effort on their part shouldn’t translate into “saying yes to every offer that comes in.” ie. Kingdom Hearts for Switch. Best examples are of those with solid studios focusing on remasters with a reasonable degree of involvement from the original devs.
Easy and sensible if they delegate the hard work to a studio that knows their shit and do the intellectual upgrades and supervision themselves but somehow they even manage to fuck this formula up lol. To save peanuts they give up complete control over their titles. Titles like KH Cloud, GTA Remaster end up hurting the original franchise ultimately.
Nintendo did remarkable job with Metroid Remaster (they were modest, they could’ve called it a remake). Subsidiary studio as a workhorse while original devs overseeing the process.

Police in Japan arrested a Konami employee for trying to murder his former boss with a fire extinguisher. According to reports, he used a fire extinguisher and hit the victim on the head. The police arrested him on the spot. After interrogating the culprit, the police charged him with attempted murder.
I'm sure he'll get off if he just explains to police that shots from a fire extinguisher only have a 8.3% chance of causing death and he was just testing the RNG for their latest pachinko machine.
