I guess that wouldn't surprise me.
I guess that wouldn't surprise me.
I imagine the cost of putting out a 360 version of an xbone game is cheap enough to be offset by the increased sales.
Fable 1 HD is gonna be on PS3? Sahweet!

Shaq Fu Re-Release?
http://www.siliconera.com/2013/06/05...haq-com-owner/Hmm… something is going on with Shaquille O’Neal and fighting games. Siliconera discovered multiple trademarks for Shaqfighter filed by Mine O’Mine which owns Shaq.com back in May.
Mine O’Mine just registered four different trademarks for Shaq Fu, the name of the ’90s fighting game where Shaq travels to Japan and gets sucked into another dimension. The Shaq Fu trademarks cover video games, computer software, video game characters, electronics action games, playing cards, and online games. These might be protective trademarks, but filling so many trademarks for a defunct game and the new Shaqfighter one is unusual.

Square Enix Trademarks 'Deadman's Cross'
Spoiler: show
Not sure how I feel about Shaq Fu. Back in the 90s you could release a game about anything and people would play it to completion. Regardless of how shitty the actual title was. Now days though and 7.0 reviewed game is considered shit.

Who Owns Patents for What?!http://kotaku.com/these-patents-vide...e-yo-511731513Electronic Arts hold patents for things like: a gaming console with a wireless controller, avatar-based virtual world chatting, episodic content delivery, Mass Effect's dialogue wheel, simulating the remainder of racing game race, Spore's evolution mechanics, a game simulating DJing and Def Jam Icon's remix mechanics. The gaming giant has applied for further patents for Madden's Playmaker feature video playing during loading screens and cross-platform cloud saves, among other items.
Activision's handful of patents mostly pertain to various aspects of their music games. The few non-music game Activision patents include Blur's social networking integration, virtual universe wish lists and a steering wheel game controller implementation.
Zynga, a company dealing in a field prone to patent litigation, unsurprisingly has a number of patents such as "Clan Wars", "Embedding of games into third party websites" and "Crew creation for question progression"
Much to my surprise, the most prolific filers of U.S. patents were not market-leading publishing giants like Electronic Arts and Activision, but Square Enix and Konami. The Final Fantasy publisher has received 142 patents, including a "Video game with fast forward and slow motion features" and a "Network game not requiring continuous connectivity". Konami Digital Entertainment holds 257 patents, including a device apparently capable of detecting a genre of music, a "Transformable toy" and baseball game mechanics.

http://www.vg247.com/2013/06/07/nosg...of-kain-title/
In a statement sent to VG247 this morning, Square-Enix community manager George Kelion confirmed that a studio is actively developing the title. He told us, “Nosgoth exists and is in active development, but is not a traditional Legacy of Kain action-adventure game”, and added, “Nosgoth is set in the same universe as previous LoK games, but on a different branch to the Blood Omen and Soul Reaver series. The community should not be thinking of Nosgoth in terms of a single-player experience.”
Kelion explained that the reason for talking to us about the project was to clear the air following Nosgoth leaks that came from AMD and Steam. The game will not be announced at E3, but the source added that Square is very excited about the concept.
He added “We don’t want people to get the wrong idea about Nosgoth following the AMD and Steam leaks ahead of its future official announcement. Nosgoth is not being developed by Crystal Dynamics,” and added, “Crystal Dynamics are not working on a Legacy of Kain game”.
In closing Kelion said, “This isn’t something we’d normally do, but we wanted to just give folks a bit more context for the direction, rather than just batten down the hatches.”
Fuck you SE...
If it doesn't use the Konami Code than they fucked up

I'd be amazed if that ended up not being Demon's Souls 2.

We’ll find out soon enough.

Atlus' parent company, Index, being investigated for “round-tripping”http://www.vg247.com/2013/06/12/atlu...ing-the-books/Atlus’ parent company, Index, is being investigated by Japanese authorities for shady bookkeeping practices, according to a NHK report.
The firm, which purchased Atlus a while back, took it off the stock market, and continues to run it only “on paper” as a brand name, has reportedly been inflating business transactions. These include fabricating numbers or “round-tripping” to make the balance sheet look better.
“It’s true that we are being investigated,” an Index spokesperson told NHK. “During this investigation, we are unable to divulge any information at the request of the authorities. From here on out, we are cooperating fully and as soon as all the facts are evident, we will promptly make that known.”
An investigation is going on at Index’s corporate offices and at the company president’s home.
