I should note that among the discrepancies, the Yahoo standard values are the ones South has, which means it's likely the error lies on South's end, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions.

I guess it's up to what people want. Making QB that much more valuable is just preference, really. It would probably make the league more competitive to have 6 point pass TDs because there's a lot more depth at QB than, say, WR. I'm fine with whatever.

More curious about the auction style draft. I do not understand it but I am willing to learn

My point of mentioning it was just to keep the uniformity of everything. I can adjust my strategy to whatever scoring system is used.

An auction draft replaces the snake style draft of picking in a set order. It's important to note that this change only affects the draft, and nothing is carried over into the season. In other words, waivers, etc. will work however the league has it set to work, meaning waiver prioirty, FAAB, etc.

Each team is given an amount of money (200$ is the standard I believe) and owners take turns nominating players for auction. Each team then bids on the player (it's not blind, you see the highest bid, just like a regular auction) and after a certain amount of time of no one bidding, the highest bidder is awarded the player. The process is repeated until every roster is filled.
