Redrapper's rant abridged: John Nelson pressured him to make a documentary that boosted up ReveLAtions and TL, didn't pay him money he said he would, and went behind his back and hired another film crew for ReveLAtions a week before the event.

Not completely accurate mind you, but the gist is there.

Also something about how he screwed Team HORI (Warahk, AndyOCR, Tatsu) by not sponsoring or paying for any of their tournaments/travel, cancelling their trip to Shadaloo Showdown 2 weeks before the event, and accusing AndyOCR of trying to extort him (by you know.. making the sponsor actually sponsor). Basically, the dude is hard to work with and defaults on a lot of promises.

Pots for Capcom were supposedly paid in full, but have not heard confirmation yet.

Lando confirmed that SFxT's pot was restored to $5k, but that was after they originally wanted to drop it to $500 and got backlash on site for it.

EDIT: Heard that checks were to be sent about 40 days afterwards. Also, winners had to fill out W-9s for reporting.

I told both you and Dole this yesterday, but you were both too ignorant to listen. Hell, I told Dole in chat like...Saturday that it was $5k and never $500 at any point in time.

As much shit as this major is getting, the winners are actually getting real bank for once. I am expecting an epic Scoots/Slasher interview with Champ/Wong after this. They were ragging on CEO so hard when Wong only took home like $6k for winning BOTH tourneys, and you can't really blame them.

Ignorant when you're skipping half of the quoted sentence? It was $500 at a point - the TOs announced it themselves at the event (Lando confirmed this as well). It took an on-site backlash to get it restored to the proper amount.

So I get to the tournament on Friday to play in the SF x TK tournament. About 10 minutes before pools start, the guy running the tournament comes to the players and makes an announcement that the pot bonus is going to go from $5,000 to $500 due to lack of interest in the game. As you can imagine, the players that came to participate in that game wasn't feeling that decision and demanded to speak to John Nelson. JN gave a long speech on why the pot was decreased but it didnt matter. I went back and forth with him that I basically don't care. When I registered your tournament, I did so under the rules and understanding that were reported on the website at the time i registered.

After about 20-30mins of back and forth, JN finally said. "All you guys figure out what you want to do and we will make it happen" (or something like that). I basically being Landosious said "We want the pot $5k". Everyone nodded their head and JN agreed to this.

Now, fast forward to finals Sunday, I had already went back to NorCal and have no idea if the top 8 for this game got paid the 5k bonus but Friday Evening, JN said that it was back.

And it never was actually reduced, just rumors of people overhearing it etc etc. The TOs came on stream like 50 mother effing times SATURDAY MORNING saying it was $5k and was never reduced, only rumored.

Champ and Rog both said on Saturday morning they wouldn't even have been playing in the damn tournament if it was only for $500 pot bonus, and they were playing Saturday morning.

are there full results for revelations anywhere? I know champ won both sf4 and marvel.

Wong won SFxTK. Snake Eyes came in 2nd.

Champ won AE. Snake Eyes came in 2nd at AE. (Wong was top 8 and knocked out Ricky, but I dunno where each placed)

Champ won Marvel. Justin came in 2nd at Marvel. Fanatiq came in 3rd. I think Killer Kai came in 4th.

All I can remember = /

On a side note, did anybody catch what was going on in chat that made Killer Kai rage popoff at the stream monsters? I had the stream on in the background and I just heard some guy yelling into the mic (sounded like some random person who wanted to troll/f-bomb the stream) while Sherry and someone else were commentating. I didn't realize it was Kai until the chat started blowing up Kai anytime he showed up on stream. I was just curious what pushed him over the line lol.
