I honestly haven't seen much footage of Uryo from recent events, what I've seen of HB recently looks like he's made a lot of improvement though, he finally seems like he's not afraid to spend meter.

I absolutely love the stream schedule for NCR. Almost always SF or MvC gonna be on stream, AS IT SHOULD BE kappa.

And yeah I thought Humanbomb was like from singapore or something, haha. How does Topanga League work, like it's just 1 entrant from each country? Does that individual win $10k? If so... goddamn. Needs more infiltration and Xiao Hu or whatever the fuck his name was for sure.

You won't find much footage of Uryo, Iyo, or Daigo from the arcades because they play at Shinjuku East and there are no cams/phones allowed out. Iyo goes around enforcing it as well.

Topanga always has different setups of how they play, but its long sets. Usually, its FT10, but you have to win on a 2 streak at the end. The Topanga League that Sako won and won like $15k was the hardest tournament to date. He straight bodied the tourney (Daigo Tokido Mago Fuudo Uryo Haitani Bonchan etc etc etc). Yes, the individual wins all the pot. This pot is small compared to the last few.

TL2 each player played FT10 against everyone to determine seeding. Then 10 played 9 in a death match, winner played 8, winner played 7, etc. The finals was Sako vs.... Haitani?

Edit - Here are the results:

1st – Sako (Ibuki)
2nd – Haitani (Makoto)
3rd – Uryo (Sakura)
4th – Mago (Fei Long)
5th – Kazunoko (Yun)
6th – Fuudo (Fei Long)
7th – Umehara (Ryu)
8th – Momochi (Cody)
9th – Bon-chan (Sagat)
From B – Eita (Akuma)
From B – YHC-Mochi (Dhalsim)
From B – Kyabetsu (C.Viper)

"From B" means they placed top 3 in the Topanga B League. Whoever comes in last place in A league falls back down to B league. So after this tourney, Bonchan fell down to B league and has to re-qualify for A league future tourneys. All 3 players from B League in this tourney came in the bottom 3 just by coincidence.

Uryo is in Osaka. Like Tokyo is their east coast and Osaka is their west coast lol

And I agree. It would mean less if Infiltration is not involved in Topanga Asia. And where's Kazunoko ;o I want a runback to see Infiltration getting run over again lol

Official Rules & Format
While the 2nd TOPANGA League (A) retains the same basic format of the 1st League, with an online segment followed by an offline segment, there are some slight changes.

Provisional Ranking Round-Robin League (Online Play)
The online portion is mostly the same as before: a round-robin league with all players participating, for a total of 66 first-to-3 game matches. Based on the results of the online league, players are given a provisional ranking. Ranking is determined by overall match win-loss record, with game win-loss difference record used as a tie-breaker. If a tie still remains, the player who won the match between the two contestants will claim the higher rank. Unlike the 1st League however, at the end of this segment, 11th place and 12th place automatically drop in rank and do not participate in the offline competition at all.

Final Ranking Competition (Offline Play)
The offline portion is expanded, giving the higher-ranked players more matches to play. The offline competition is broken into two leagues, starting with a lower league of 6, consisting of the provisional 5th-10th place players. The top two finishers from this league advance to the upper league, also consisting of the provisional 1st-4th place players, for an upper league of 6. Each league is a round-robin of 15 matches for a total of 30 matches, significantly higher than the 11 matches of the 1st league’s offline segment.

The match format itself is slightly different as well. Instead of 2/3 sets of FT6, matches are now a single FT10 set, but retaining the deuce rule from before. In the case of a 9-9 set point tie, the set enters into deuce, and one player must obtain at least a 2-win advantage to claim the set. The player with the higher provisional ranking is already given a 1-win advantage.

Uryo was at Shinjuku East last week, maybe for the same reason as Gamerbee? I dunno, but they were there lol. All of the very top players played at Shinjuku East Taito or Taito in Shibuya.

Momochi doesn't live around Tokyo either though.

There was probably some event there... Sako, Uryo and Haitani lives in the Osaka region so there's quite a bit of rivalry vs the Daigo/Mago gang lol
