sweet, i let my system rest for a couple nights and it powered back on long enough to get my AE disc out + upload the rest of my saves to PS+.

i'm considering bringing it to GS to trade in while it still powers on, they're giving $50 extra in trade on systems this week. if it stays on long enough to make it through testing/reformatting i'd probably be able to get ~130 for it, haha.

it crossed my mind, but between next-gen being so close and already having invested in PS3 so heavily at this point, it would suck to have to rebuy all of my games on 360. plus i'm cheap as fuck and can't stand the thought of paying $40-60/year for P2P hosting and ads on XBL, heh. everyone i game with locally is on PS3 as well, so there's also that.

in the near-term, i'm limited to one or the other, and it just doesn't make a lot of sense to switch over. but who knows, i finally graduate next week so with my increased availability alone i'll hopefully be able to land a decent job. once the cash starts rolling in i wouldn't mind dropping a bit for a cheapo 360 and a few rebuys for FG's. i'd definitely like to have it available for that alone, being on PS3 really limits my options for finding reliable competition, and none of my local friends can put up enough of a fight to really help me level up. i do my best to give them pointers on the game but they're not all that competitive, so the impetus for them to improve doesn't really seem to be there.

Because all of Abel's pressure isn't safe? lol And none of his ways to get in are safe and his hitboxes aren't fucktarded. Also, that complaint was more about Vega's lack of being able to ultra at all. Also, his launcher is -6 on block, not +4(or +2 w/e the fuck it is)....

Abel has the worst hurtboxes in the game!!! He is still a character that a specialist can roll over anyone out there with randomly.

So what is double tapping good for? I have been playing around with it, got really good at it and have not found a reason to use it >.>

I know it lands on frames 1 and 3. Anyone know of a BnB from any character I would need it on?

to me double tapping seems useless, though I know OG players us it a lot. having a 1 frame gap during a 1 frame link combo seems to fuck with consistency. I think for unplinkable 1 frame links I'd just man it up and go for single presses. though if you want to know how to combo with doubletaps/button mashing, ask dobu <______< #shotsfired

Double tapping is better than plinking for 2f links, technically. You can be 2f off(opposed to 1f) and it will still catch it provided you do it perfectly 1f apart.

Other than that, uhh... I'm pretty sure its necessary for Sagat's F+HK feint.

Who cares? It's still an awesome combo. It only works on Rufus, and it needs 17 fucking 1f links, of course no one is going to do it in a real match.
