just be aware: if you have an older system with a smaller hard drive, you need ~40GB free to download and install the digital version of the game, as it's just a hair under 20GB.

edit- yeah, the PS+ freebie expired a few weeks ago.

That shit is free for PSN+, check the discount bins and you'll find it for a buck fifty... well more like six bucks. And yeah, don't buy a stick yet you may not even like the game. Or I'll wait for your wts stick thread like many other bgers lmao.

Yeah I have an 80GB system still so the digital version is a no go. You can run it off the disc though right? if I went that route? Wish I could just play everyone here on PC< haha

^Yeah I wouldn't buy a stick until I saw I'd make progress in the game the way I'd feel comfortable with.

Wesker is just soooooo dirty when played on point. But Nova has better synergy with the team, I guess (TAC lockdown from dante can lead into good mixups, etc. He can combo into strange loops off a throw). But wesker gives Dante true unblockables, allows strange to get into FoF loops easier, and IMO better mixups (up/down/left/right AND a command grab). He can fucking dash up behind bolts and he can command grab inbetween them, it's sick lmao. Both Dante and Strange extending his combos really nicely too.

Adding Firebrand changes my team from a Dante team to a firebrand team, though. Unblockables on incoming with Dante, etc. etc.

I really like the Dante/Strange shell. Dante gets Strange into FoF loops in multiple ways and Dante's mixups with strange bolts is too stronk.

well, if you're not particularly attached to any of your installed games you can delete them and free up enough space. i'm currently using a loaner system from a friend that came with a 40GB HDD and a basically broken BR drive, so it was digital or nothing for me. even after completely wiping the drive and starting from scratch, it wouldn't allow me to download it, so i had to swap in a spare 80GB drive.

if you get the disc version, you can do an install to cut down loading times and whatnot, and that only takes up ~4-5GB or so i believe.

interestingly, the digital download version has noticeably longer load times than any configuration involving a disc.

Yeah disc is fine...used at GameStop is $20 but you can probably find cheaper.

only reason PS3 will be busy for a few weeks is EVO prep, I wouldn't spend much on it

Yeah, I have a lot of stuff on there I still like playing from time to time, but 4-5GB Install from disc doesn't seem so bad at all.

Akiyama I do have the PC version (got the key for like $10 and torrented the game), but I rarely play the game nowadays... just let me know if you do play so I can come on if you get the PC version (or 360 for that matter)

I would really advise against getting ps3 version. PC will have more than enough players for a beginner to compete against. As long as you don't have a PC from 2002, you can run it easily. Myself and dobu (CA to TX connection, almost flawless) play on PC very regularly and would be happy to play with others. Depending on left-hand finger dexterity, keyboard controls destroy joystick control.

As far as technical stuff to learn: movement, blocking, normals, normals canceled into specials, etc. Come back (or check shoryuken.com) for more technical stuff :3

I;m actually..solid with the keyboard when it comes to PC stuff (I have CVS2 I like to lay on the DC Emulator sometimes and use that) so that'd be cool. But yeah..movement, blocking, normals, normal/canceling and stuff.. that's the kind of stuff I wanna learn how to do more precisely
